Easy Cheesy - a Sativa dominant cheese strain not unlike most cheese, reminds me of the Green Cheese, a Green Crack/ Cheese hybrid. I get a massive headache from these strains for some reason, as opposed to say Balmoral (Tweeds take on a Cheese).
Anxiety is pretty low which is unexpected, but that may just be that this was my third smoke of the day. And let me say, smoked this is a great strain, vaping however left a ton to be desired. I got a hollow empty inhale with pine after taste, which is nothing to do with cheese.
I am gonna need to spend more time with this strain, as it has been so hot and messy ( joking I meant hit and miss).
LIIV however is championing it hard lately. Buddha Haze, Yin and Yang, Clarity have all been outstanding.
Houndstooth - a mild-mid level Sativa that reminds me of GSC (girl scout cookies), outdoor Durbans that are less sticky, and also Waba types from the Canadian west.
The smell is citrus and pine with a strong herbal undernote. I get a clean lemon balm hit when ground and it is great. 9/10
I initially remarked ‘this is more than a G’ when opening both 1g package, and let me note packaging is what I have come to expect from Tweed, amazing little tins. Upon scaling it weighed in at .98g so I assume a small amount of moisture loss, Tweed is usually over .2 on their bud, maybe because of stem content.
These are leafy big buds, some shake (probably from transport) light green and a yellow-brown, coated in crystals and hairs. The smoke is a little harsh, possibly due to the conservative trimming job these buds flew through, but the flavours are pretty pronounced on the inhale. The exhale is weak and empty, but clean if you prefer that. Like normal these tastes are amplified in the vape (pax) at 394f, nice peppery note on the exhale, which is exciting after the mediocre smoke flavour. 6/10
I was happy, really f@#king happy. I smiled and smiled and just was. The THC is really underwhelming, but I like that in a Sativa as I am focused on a more terpene forward journey. This hits fast and hard, but is light enough to function and not lose your head. You feel lifted, but the anxiety creeps just a little the first few smokes. This is definitely a weed you can train yourself to use daily for AM activities. Excellent before exercise, outdoorsy stuff, BBQ, and probably my go to beach weed. 7/10
Onset was immediately apparent, but faded quickly leaving my energetic and motivated. Constantly having to buy 1g containers makes me feel wasteful. 7g or even 15g packages would be ideal for a weed like this. A little dry for a Durban like (usually sticky). 7/10
Final thoughts, TL;DR
For a daytime Sativa this does a great job. Great for recreational activities, pretty great flavour in vape. Not enough trimming and slightly dryer compared to similar strains from the OCS, price is perfect. Great for: Beach weed! More frequent smokers looking for a day buzz that wakes you up and leaves you goofy. This strain has no body effect on me, so this one is for the ‘feelings’. Get this in larger volume formats and I feel like it will just be better for the earth, and all of use.

Penelope - from the high and look of the bud, this is a cross between an uplifting Sativa such as a CBD skunk haze and possibly a CBD dominant Hybrid.
Immediately the smell reminds me of Harlequin and Harl-tsu. Spicy and peppery, earth and clove maybe, but also a rich mushroom under-note. 8/10
The bud itself is dark, with lots of red and orange hairs, but a little dry. This is however not a deal-breaker, due to the extremely tight and dense trichomes I have come to expect from these types of strains. Smokes great with an easy, slightly toasty flavour and soft cracker like aftertaste. On the other hand, it doesn’t take off in my vaporizer (pax), requiring an extra 15-20f over my preferred temp of 394f just to get a mouth feel. One more point to bring up is the .4 of stems in the 1g package. This wasn’t an issue in any of the other 3.5g packages I purchased, so again not a huge deal. 7/10
The high has extremely mellow onset, like a thin top sheet being thrown over you, slowly another is thrown on, and another, and finally when you think it’s too many layers, it pulls back about half. I felt an urge to smile at just about everything, and ‘Whoosh’ it’s gone. Those initial effects lasted about 25-30 minutes, but soon drifted off into a peaceful and relaxed come down lasting nearly 3 hours. Great for pain, anxiety, and mood boosting, with little to no paranoia. Useful for a daytime high to increase productivity with out getting too ‘in the zone’. This is the most useful mid-range THC with balanced CBD strain I have ever used. 10/10
This product was also available in soft-gels, 2.5mg and 10mg. The 2.5mg required me to take 8-10 to get to my target effect. 10mg took 2 and was sailing away. Onset took 1 hour to being, but peak high was more mellow and lasted 1.5h, with a 4-5 hour tail of peaceful slightly sedated sensation. Suggest for pain relief and people adverse to vaping and smoking. 10/10
Final thoughts, TL;DR
This is a CBD Sativa dominant hybrid, with a good dose of THC (approx 50/50). It has a great smell and wonderful high, but could use a different approach to curing to allow for better vape experience. Tweed has done a fantastic job here, stealing the spot of favourite bud available at the OCS and in the recently opened stores here in Ontario. This would be a great weed for: Beginners looking for mellow high. Long time smokers looking for a day buzz that leaves you functional and motivated. People looking to help with anxiety, tension, and light pain relief during the day. Available as bud or soft-gels.
9/10, but completely take the top place for favourite strains available on the OCS.
