This strain is so absolutely AMAZING that my praise might make this review sound disingenuous, but I promise I am sincere. Upon cracking open the jar/bag, you will be greeted by scents reminiscent of a chunk of blue cheese, soaked in diesel fuel, and then rolled in a blend of flowering herbs. Somehow, this terrible sounding blend of scents combine to make something wonderful. The flavor profile is what you'd expect from the scents, and again, is surprising because it isnt as awful as it sounds. Now on to the even more amazingly wonderful effect profile...this bud is one of the best I've ever smoked, easily in my Top 3. Truly. Nearly instantly upon smoking, you are treated to a wonderfully euphoric, good-mood inducing, and relaxing wave that starts up in your dome piece, and washes over the rest of your body. You're left feeling wonderful. Relaxed, happy, and yet still fairly functional (if you wanted), as long as you dont over-indulge. Which is very easy to do, seeing as this bud is potent and the effects are so enjoyable. But, I could see this bud being used as a one-toke lunch-time pick me up on a shitty Monday. Dig?
Long review, short....If you come across this strain, do yourself a favor and grab some of this excellent "anytime" strain. I've tried the flower, and co2 oil carts of this great strain, which are equally great, but I would give an edge to the flower, but that's usually what I would choose with most strains.
This is one of those rare "anytime" strains that can be enjoyed as the first, or last, smoke of your day, or anytime in between. However, its mix of effects WILL leave you noticeably stoned, so, it's not one of those you can get away with being stoned when you probably shouldn't be. Just sayin 😉. Fairly potent, and tasty w/ an interesting blend of sweet and skunk. Has a relatively quick onset, with a "thickening" and "slowing" starting in my head, and spreading outwards through my body in a steady, relaxing wave. In terms of "species" and effects, I'd say this strain is a little more indica-esque then sativa-like, but it wont make you sleepy or overly dopey. I am left well relaxed, but not overly so, and am still capable of getting done what needs doing if I REALLY want to. There is a slightly energizing effect that is noticeable soon after smoking, but this dissipates quickly to leave me back at a neutral energy level. Overall an enjoyable experience, that, in my opinion is the perfect strain for a day off w/ nothing serious to do. Juat smoke a bowl, relax, and enjoy.
This is a perfect mid-day strain. Labelled as a near perfectly balanced hybrid, and, amazingly, that is an apt description. After smoking I found myself well relaxed, and calm, but not cloudy or sedated; while also brightening my mood a bit with a bit of euphoric glow. Also nice is that this bud doesn't slow down my thoughts, and there is no "cloudiness" allowing me to function without issue. As far as this buds namesake flavor and smell, it definitely lives up to its title. While you can clearly smell and taste some bubble gum, there is a definite, and lovely, strong skunkiness underneath that will keep you from mistaking the bud for a hunk of bazooka or double bubble.
I really enjoyed this bud overall, and, while not one of the best I've had, its certainly up there. The dispensary near me that carries this strain has a terrible record of actually having their strains in stock and available, so it rarely comes around. I wish it did more often, as it would probably be a regular. Anyway, if you get the opportunity to give this a toke, it's worth the price of admission.
An instant favorite, and a definite addition to my top 10 strain list. This is a wonderful daytime strain with the perfect combination of uplifting, energizing, euphoric and relaxing effects all in just the right measure. I picked this strain up from Garden State Dispensary in Woodbridge, amd have been living it ever since. The buds are a bright green w/ lots of golden and orange hairs, and are coated in shiny trichomes. They are of a medium density, but fluffy and light. As soon as the seal on the jar is broken, a wonderful fruity/citrusy aroma w/ a touch of skunky pine wafts up to greet you. Once smoked, I found this is quite a potent strain, but not in a bad way, I wasnt left anxious or edgy, which I find an unfortunate side-effect of some potent Sativas. I find this strain to be a near perfect combination of effects for daytime consumption. I am left euphoric and happy, sufficiently relaxed and calm, but at the same time energized, and uplifted. It's really rather amazing, and I heartily recommend this amazing Sativa to anyone looking for a solid daytime, anxiety relieving smoke.
This place is great...until you try one of the other dispensaries in NJ and start to make comparisons. Staff, and service are great, they are all well informed and helpful for the most part, no real complaints there. The facilities are nice, well kept and modern in an accessible location, always well stocked w/ accessories and paraphernalia. Unfortunately, the hands down most important aspect of this business is the one thing these guys get wrong. The buds...my first, and biggest complaint is their supply. There are days when they only have ONE premium strain!!! 'Dont like that super energizing Sativa that will wreak havoc w/ your anxiety? Sorry! Maybe try back tomorrow, but no promises the selection will be any better.' Maybe I am spoiled b/c the first one I went to, and what I consider to be my "main" dispensary, ALWAYS has at least 8 premium flower strains on hand, and half a dozen vape cart and dab oil strains, as well as lozenges, and food-grade oil (MCT). These guys will have AT MOST 3 or 4 premium flower strains and that is once in a purple moon, they always do seem to have 2 or 3 strains of CBD/Mids/premium-shake, and a couple stains in vape carts on hand though. As for the quality of what they do have....well, I have found one or two REALLY good strains, but bc of their supply inconsistencies, I haven't tried them all. One thing I have noticed, is that compared to my reference dispensary (whom I dont want to name in the review of another facility), they also seem to not invest as much into the processing, manicuring and packaging as they could. For example, my main uses heavy-weight tinted glass jars, and the buds are ALWAYS beautiful, I'm talking moist, and pungent, with glistening trichomes. Where GSD uses clear, plastic jars, and I have noticed that the bud is almost always dried out, which causes the organic matter and trichomes to more easily rub and break off. Idk if that's from the light getting in, or that the plastic is more permeable than the glass and lets more air in, but whatever the case, its noticeable....this quality issue somehow extends to the vape cartridges as well. While, they arent bad, they are very thick, and VERY dark to the point you cant see through it at all, even when held up to sun light. It does its job, and you can taste the strain that it is, in comparison the vape carts I get elsewhere are still very thick, but not dark at all and the oil resembles light greenish honey. As for prices, they are in the ballpark of the other dispensaries for their flower, but their vapr carts are a good bit cheaper then I have found elsewhere. One thing I have noticed is that this dispensary carries Curaleaf products now and then, which, I assume is a sister company or under the same corporate parent. These Curaleaf products prices vary, their flower is cheaper, but their vape carts are more expensive.
Now, while so far this review may have sounded negative, it's all relative. Regardless, going to this dispensary is still a THOUSAND times better than dealing with the street. They may have their issues, but the staff is great, they've in a good location, and it's better than many alternatives.
Favorite Strains (Havent tried all):
GG#4 - Original Glue/Gorrila Glue, awesomely potent Indicaa
Super Lemon Haze - Tasty citrus in an energizing, but happy-making, sativa
GMO Cookies - Smells and tastes...well, like garlic, onions, and mushrooms were tossed with skunky buds. Not fan of smell and taste, but an awesome indica-heavy hybrid
This is the absolute, hands down, no questions asked BEST dispensary in the state (NJ) in terms of quality and consistency, and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. By far. The only complaint I have, and it is small....heh....is that the facility is too small and often crowded. There are closer dispensaries, which I will go to if they have a strain I haven't tried, but I will take the time out to take the longer trip to this dispensary, the quality of the product, and staff is just that much better here. The buds are always fresh, large, and extremely well manicured, processed and packaged in heavyweight stained-glass jars. The concentrates are always super thick, but still clear and the taste of the stain is preserved, no unnecessary additives or thickeners. I haven't tried the lozenges, or MCT oil (the stuff you mix in with food, drink or lotions), and they NEVER have mids or shake (which I am fine with, as I am all about the pure fire that is the premium, and only, flower here), so I cant speak on their quality, but everything else here is so good, I cant imagine they wouldn't be as well.
RECOMMENDED STRAINS: Kush IV - easily the BEST bud I have EVER smoked anywhere, do not pass this extremely well balanced hybrid up. AK-47 - Excellent bud, euphoric, uplifting, and relaxing. Moonshine Haze - Amazing sativa-heavy hybrid that leaves you happy, and relaxed, but is uplifting and leaves you able to focus. SAGE 20 - Concentrate only! Sativa-heavy hybrid that is energizing, while emotionally calming.
This strain made its debut (or return from long absence) at Breakwater ATC in Cranbury, NJ this week, and I rushed over to secure an 1/8 and have not been disappointed. I'll start with effects and move on to the finer points....The high started out fairly mild, and totally cerebral after only a few puffs. A few minutes after finishing smoking the high started to "blossom", with strong feelings of euphoria/happiness tempered by a relaxing calmness that cascades down from your head and settles everywhere else, but leaves you feeling fairly energized and focused. An awesome daytime smoke, even a wake and bake candidate I'd say. If anyone has ever had the Kush IV from Breakwater, this is almost like a stronger Sativa version of that. So far ai am really enjoying it....As for the finer points.....The first thing you'll notice, instantly when you open the jar, is the VERY pungent, and unique scents that waft out. I'd say it's a mix of fruits, w/ a feint undercurrent of diesel fuel and the slightest touch of spice. Not unpleasant at all, just unique. The buds themselves are a silvery blue-green in color with some darker red-orange-brown hairs (I'm colorblind). They look deceptively fluffy and soft, but are actually incredibly dense, every inch frosted with insane amounts of sticky trichomes. The smoke tastes just like it smells, which is unique. All in all, just a really excellent Sativa, that is unlike anything I've had before. I'd recommend it.
Super stinky. That will be your likely first impression, as you will probably smell it well before you see it. Its very pungent, yet not unpleasant, with strong woody and earthen notes, all layered with a noticeably sour finish. My sack was all smaller, yet very dense, multi-colored buds that are covered in a thick layer of super-sticky crystals. I try to handle this one as little as possible, and transfer right from jar to grinder.
The smoke itself I found to be great for a daytime, or pre-work toke. While quite potent, I never felt overwhelmed. After smoking I felt uplifted, and clear-headed, yet still noticeably relaxed and "happy" (for lack of a better term). I could see, depending on ones natural affect, possibly getting slightly anxious if way too much is smoked, but, having anxiety myself I never found that to be the case personally.
Overall, a great "daytime", pre-work (in extreme moderation), wake-and-bake type bud that I would highly recommend to anyone.
