Afghan Kush already had my respect before I even tried it. The pure Indica genetics passed down unaltered for thousands of years from the mother land means why change a good thing. This is a straight ahead heavy hitter that does the job for many people looking for relief from stress, pain and insomnia. The taste and smell is Classic Kush "Earthy, Woody and Flowery". The immediate effects will drop you down a few levels to put you into a deep relaxed state, both in body and mind. This is a great strain if you had a long stressful day and you want to unwind, watch a bit of TV before bed. Be careful with your dosing as the sedation can sneakily creep up on you. I learned this the hard way. After dinner I smoked a joint in the early evening and decided to watch a movie. The next thing I knew, I woke up out of what felt like a deep coma at 3:30 am. I was sitting up in the exact same position on the couch with the TV blaring out some infomercial trying to sell me Sham Wow. Drool was running down my chin and the cat was sleeping on top of me as if I was just part of the furniture. A good strain to keep on hand.

Donegal has very small light green buds that look like they could come from the shores of Ireland. This is definitely a Sativa leaning hybrid and would I only use in the daytime. I got a good hit of an uplifting euphoria that lasted a good while and started getting very chatty in short order. I believe this would be great for party. After a couple of hours I became very relaxed in both mind and body. The smell is pungent and yet evokes a sweet floral spice aroma which I quite like. The earthy and diesel flavor is smooth on the intake. This is a nice strain that's worth a try.

Ocean View makes for a great day or morning strain. This one from Tweed has a THC level of 11.9% which is lower than what this strain typically has reported to have in the past. Having said that, it still packs a punch. The medium sized buds are light green and and completely covered by orange pistols. The aroma of buds was predominately "Alfalfa" with hint of sweet berries. The flavor came out much the same as the smell with some earthiness and overall it is a relatively smooth and light smoke or vape. The best part of Ocean View are the effects; I was immediately uplifted by happy energy and became very aware of my surroundings. Within 10 minutes I was hit by a very manageable euphoria for a duration of 30-40 minutes, then it settled back into a uplifted happy energy that lasted a few hours. This would be a great strain to enjoy a hike on sunny day or even brighten a rainy along with reading a good book. I really like this strain and is totally fine in social settings.

Ayahuasca Purple is about as "Top Shelf" as you can get and very rare at the same time! My favorite Bud Tender, Mitchell, brought this incredible strain to my attention when it first came into the Vancouver shop. It really has it all; Beautiful spongy nugs with the deep purple intertwining with both light and dark greens, provide an outstanding tri-color collage. The smell is to die for! A heavenly blend of sweet papaya and lavender. The taste oozes quality and refinement. It's an earthy lavender with berry and a hint of nuttiness. It is incredibly smooth smoke considering the strength of this strain. Initially there's a cerebral onset that fills your mind with euphoria. You are relaxed, uplifted and happy and it lasts a long time. After about an hour, a slow warm tingling sensation works its way through your body, You become deeply relaxed, content and just plain chill. No couch lock, but you will have no problem sleeping at the end of the night. I consider this strain to be the champagne of the Indicas. Worth every penny you spend on it!

Banana Split is definitely a beginner's strain, made by Aurura with a THC level of 15.2%. Best way to describe the overall experience from this Satival leaning Hybrid was "Gentle". It had a mild and almost subdued tropical / banana flavor. The initial euphoria gently eased in without fanfare. I noticed a slight uplift in my mood and maintained a clear head - I could easily focus on any task. If you want a bit more punch, you can add to it without the worry of over doing it. A nice strain if you want a productive day.

Welcome to Lemon Flavor Town! The smell and taste is an amazing combination of Sweet Lemon and Citrus with a hint of Pine/Wood. This is mainly due to the beneficial terpene combination found in this strain: Limonene and Terpinolene; reported to work synergistically to improve your metabolism and have strong oxidant properties. I find this strain elevates my mood and eliminates fatigue. After the initial tingly euphoric boost,it settles me into a nice clear headed, lets'get stuff done mood that will last for hours. Super Lemon Haze makes a great weekend morning/afternoon strain which would be totally appropriate in any social setting.

Charlotte's Web is one of the most important and influential medical strains every produced, so it had my attention and respect before even trying it. Being a Sativa, it gave me an uplifting feeling like I just drank two cups of coffee, after about 10 minutes I felt a bit of a body buzz going on. Any form of pain and anxiety just washed away. No euphoria, just a calm at ease feeling that doesn't cloud my thoughts. It's perfect to use even on your busiest days as it's helps keep things in perspective. I also use Charlotte's Web to blend in with high THC strains to bring down the euphoric effects to a more mild and manageable level. Great strain to have on hand.

Black Diamond is a great medical strain that's worth checking out. If I could only use one word to describe how you feel after use; "Contentment". It has a very relaxed, chill & happy vibe going on. This strain has the familiar dark earthy and musky aroma & flavor found in only the most potent Indicas. Black Diamond provides a surprisingly clear headed high that allows you to focus easily on any mental task. It doesn't knock you out with heavy sedation but at the same time your body is feeling no pain. You can drift off blissfully into a deep sleep at the end of the night.

This is a nicely balanced 50/50 hybrid. As the name indicates it smells and tastes sweet and surprisingly like bubble gum. I have a higher tolerance so I did not find this strain as strong as some other reviewers. To me this would be a great beginner strain. You get a buzz going for both head and body. Your whole body becomes relaxed and you just feel good, the mild euphoria becomes very lucid after about 20 minutes. You stay happy and uplifted for about 90 minutes. Bubble Gum would be great for socializing in the afternoon and well into the evening. There's no sedation at all, in fact you want to get up and do things and stay active. There won't be any problems sleeping later on at the end of the night. I will definitely be enjoying this again soon. Very pleasant!

When you light up or vape, you will notice a earthy mint with a touch of chemical flavor. The aroma is a earthy and a little skunky. But that's not it's best feature. It's the "euphoria" that hits hard and fast. It starts off very uplifting, giggly and talkative and after about 15 - 20 minutes my body was washed over with a warm tingling sensation that leaves you with a deep relaxed feeling for hours. The 27% THC level makes sure of that but eventually leads to sedation and a bit of the munchies. It's really the best of both of the Sativa and Indica worlds all in one bud. I will be visiting this green beauty again, but I will make sure I don't wonder too far from home.
