Durban Poison Profile Strain
4/10/2020
nearly 20 years ago, I saved a strain developed by an emerald triangle grower by the name of Steve Tuck. He had been raided by the feds and fled to Canada. I did not know Steve, but a friend of mine did, and called me in the middle of the night when he was busted. I drove through the night to get the LAST five clones known to exist of the ORIGINAL Trainwreck. They were in rough shape, but I managed to save one clone. That clone repopulated the West Coast with Trainwreck.
The original Trainwreck bears no resemblance to the strains calling themselves Trainwreck. I KNOW the daddy of Trainwreck was Durban poison. I don't know who the mama was. I have read descriptions of Trainwreck that claim it's lineage has Thai in it. I don't think so. The orignal Trainwreck was a light producer, and flowered to maturity in just under 7 weeks.. The buds were among the most aromatic I have ever grown, reminiscent of pine-sol. The Buzz was Durban Poison all the way, but stronger. I believe the strain it was crossed with was heavy pinene, but that is just a hunch.
I was busted by the feds and went to federal prison in 2005. Just got released about a year ago. Came out to a whole new world, both tech and cannabis. Somebody there may have heard of me. Back in the day, I was known as dcgreenhouse. I was among the very first to brand my weed. Had more than 100 strains at my peak.
