I was having a bad day at work and the first thing I did was hit Chalice early on my morning break to get the 10% off early bird special, plus Friday is also discounted flower day. I got an ounce of Purple Wildfire and it is amazing! The buds are huge and DARK. Mine tested at 19.26% Believe me, THC isn’t everything, I’m feeling mai-tee-fine after two vaped bags of flower in the Arizer Extreme Q (like the Volcano). Purple Wildfire tastes an awful lot like Northern Lights – like apple and lilac, but with a musky berry twist at the very end of the exhale. It’s a cross between Jager, Trainwreck, and Flo, and when you look at all their parents, this one turns out to be a pure hybrid, which is just what I wanted tonite. I feel like I am walking on a cloud and I'm seeing the world through rose colored glasses. Off to get another bag going!

Dr. Who was the $55 ounce I got on sale on 4/20 at The Green Remedy, and I got a cute translucent purple mini bong with it - thanks Guys! While only 15% THC, it smelled dank and hit my head with a POW upon sniffing it, more than some of the higher THC strains did for the same price, and I was sold. As we all know, there is so much more to weed than THC and CBD. I got plenty high off Dr. Who after work this Monday evening, and away I went in the T.A.R.D.I.S! I think I underwent a personality change along the way because for the next 3.5 hours between vaping bags of vaporized flower this slob did nonstop housework. Glad I got an ounce of this one, I might need to use daily til my messy house gets picked up! Dr. Who smells and tastes like a fruit salad with eucalyptus leaves mixed in. It’s a cross between Mad Scientist and Timewreck and is supposedly an indica leaning hybrid, but on me it acted like a sativa, I’ve been happy, high, and clear headed. I did, however, go to bed at 4pm yesterday and got up at 6:00 this morning with much more energy than normal, so that might have had something to do with it. Still, after 3.5 hours of solid housework I was still feeling hyper and switched to Afgooey to bring me down a bit.

I get as high as functionally possible before going to ecstatic dance on Sundays, so I picked up Double Diesel by Select – Elite. As much as I don’t want to use vape cartridges right now due to the lead content in the metal parts used in them, they are the only way to go, really, when walking out and about on the town. I’ve been vaping flower the past couple of weeks, so the pull on Double Diesel this morning at 83.6% THC is like – PoW! It tastes like a zesty grapefruit diesel! Yuuumm! The parents are Sour Diesel and NYC Diesel so it’s no wonder that this is the result. As with most sativas, this is a great strain for energy, a head buzz, and for daytime use. I was thrilled to see that my dispensary started carrying Select – Elite because even though Buddies’ THC is in the 90% range now, it tastes manuactured and diluted, Whereas Select – Elite can still knock you out at 83% and taste true to the flower.

Today I picked up an ounce of Do-Si-Dos and was happy to see it on special at my local dispensary today, because I’ve been wanting to try this one for a while! It gets the purple indica sticker, and its parents are Girl Scout Cookies and Face Off OG. Mine tested at 25.5% THC. My body is melting into the chair, and I would recommend Do-Si-Dos for pain, relaxation, insomnia, and as a mood enhancer. It smells and tastes sweet and earthy, and the nugs are tight and half green, half flecked black – gorgeous and exotic! I’m listening to Miles Davis and my evening goal of working on my website went out the window and I threw some vegan fake chick’n nuggets in the toaster oven instead. I’m considering going back tomorrow and getting another ounce of Do-Si-Dos because I don’t ever want to run out of this. This euphoric feeling is exquisite, like walking barefoot on plush velvet and falling into a heaping pile of plum colored rose petals in a Spanish castle where a mysterious indica colored mist lulls you to sleep and you dream happy dreams of princes on horses coming to rescue you from all that is Evil in the world. This is some of the best weed I’ve vaped in ages and Do-Si-Dos may be my new favorite all time strain. I really want to try Face Off now, because another strain I tried that was crossed with it was also phenomenal. I can’t remember off the top of my head what one that was though (Stoner problems).

Today was my first visit to Paradise Found. The staff were friendly, upbeat, and professional, and the space is clean and spiffy. The $3 gram was Dominion Skunk, so I picked up an ounce! No seeds (though I'm in the minority and love getting seeds because I grow) and it tested at 27.1% THC. Let's just say I'm enjoying my afternoon immensely :) Thanks Guys! I'll be back!

I was wanting a new sativa and saw that my dispensary, the Oregon Grown Gift Shop, had Silver Tip, which Leafly calls Montana Silver Tip but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing.  It's a cross between Super Silver Haze (which I'm trying to grow this year) and Granddaddy Purple.   It smells and tastes to me like Super Silver Haze with Granddaddy Purple notes to soften it a bit, and it's super skunky! I keep opening up the jar to smell it again and again. Mmmm... weed..... Mine tested at 21.19% THC and this ranks up high in favorite sativas of mine. This sativa hybrid is cerebral and energizing.  My mind feels clear and empty, the sound of the music passes right through me and I feel light.  This is perfect strain to start your day with or if you are out a night club and want to stay up all night and feel the music while tripping out on the disco dance light sparkling all around and the frenetic energy of the crowd rumbles in your belly. It didn't take long at all for me to feel high and all I gotta say is I really can't wait to grow Super Silver Haze this year!

I can't remember if I reviewed Super Sour OG already or not (Stoner problems) but after a hard Barre workout tonite I decided to add this nice hybrid high to the post workout endorphin mix.  You can really smell and taste the Sour Diesel and Blueberry in this one - throw in some general green plant smell and you got yourself some Super Sour OG.  The unique thing about Super Sour OG, I feel, is that it is a perfect 50/50 hybrid.   No head pressure, no couch lock, just a very level high.  Mine tested at 29.15% THC and .13 CBD.   This would be a great strain to use at a social gathering because there's no sativa paranoia and you won't fall asleep in a faraway guest bedroom either.   It's perfect for being in the present moment.  I'm enjoying this weed but probably won't pick it up again simply because nothing really stands out about it to me. It's nice and I'm definitely high but that's about it; I don't feel particularly creative, sexually aroused, sleepy, have sparkles, etc like I do with many other strains.

I've been waking and baking with Rude Boi OG today and it is a wonderful indica leaning hybrid that smells and tastes like fresh balsam and sweet mint.  I would like to drink a tea that tasted like this! The buds are dank and frosty, and they deliver a strong indica relaxation with an accompanied head high.  My body feels relaxed and I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere today.  All I have planned is reading the new issues of Heavy Metal and Mad magazines, but now I don't think I can even focus long enough for that, so I'm just writing while listening to Mixcloud and waiting on a pizza delivery!

It's payday and I couldn't resist Purple Hindu Kush, which was the cheap ounce today at the dispensary. Purple HIndu Kush happens to be in my top 5 favorite strains.  The nugs are big and dank,  and it planted a slow grin in my face tonite  Mine tested at 21.3% THC.  Purple Hindu Kush smells and tastes to me like balsam with a hint of eucalyptus and sour grape.  This indica is a cross between Hindu Kush and Purple Afghani, and it brings a warm comforting feeling to my mind and body.  Makes me want to run away to India, join an ashram, and meditate all day while toking on this relaxing herb through a long wooden ceremonial pipe.   I will now ceremoniously take this pipe upstairs and toke some more before bed - while this doesn't knock you out like, say, 9 Pound Hammer, it does deeply relax both the mind and body, though mine didn't have a significant amount of CBD in it, but was we all know there is so much more to ganja than just THC and CBD, don't we...

Up until now I've only enjoyed Strawberry Cough as a vape concentrate, and I'm happy to say I like the flower just as much!  Mine tested at 23.98% THC, and it has a sparkly strawberry skunk smell and taste. This sativa is a sure fire peppy pick me up!  Strawberry Cough renders a clear headed high, and 4th of July sparklers are flickering tiny licklets of flames in my brain.   I was tired when I got home from work, and now I feel I got my second wind.  This is a strain you can focus with, and I'm glad I picked it up half an ounce of it for the weekend!   You do indeed experience a harshness while inhaling, hence the Cough in the strain's name.  But, much like a bitter IPA can make your lips pucker, you keep going back for more.  I'm so glad I found this again!  I'm going down in to Strawberry Fields and nothing seems real..
