I stopped at Route 17 and visited Knotweed Farm — honestly, one of the coolest hidden gems I’ve found recently. It has a relaxed farm stand vibe with original artwork on the walls and a creatively arranged setup. The dispensary is connected to a fly shop and gift shop, which might seem odd but actually works really well. . The staff was friendly, the space is lovely, and it’s exactly the kind of place where you’d want to stay a while. Definitely worth detouring from the highway.

This team of budtenders are some of the best in the Mohawk valley, maybe even in the industry. Everyone was genuinely knowledgeable about companies and products they had in store. Andrea was a plethora of information on New York brands and their practices. Carly also being an open book of info; elaborated that she studied cultivation at a SUNY school. She made me comfortable while shopping but also made me feel confident with my selection due to her knowledge and experience. They informed, and signed me up for a killer loyalty program too before I left. Also, the shop is woman owned! I can’t recommend this shop anymore!

Such a cute little shop!! They have locally grown flower and a super friendly staff. Definitely not your average "head shop" style dispensary, it has more of a homegrown, all walks of life welcoming vibe. Best place to bring mom without her getting scared by acid art on every wall lol

Knowledgeable and friendly people. They helped me find a tincture for the pain after wisdom tooth removal. It’s good having them nearby, and conveniently they’re between a pizza shop and liquor store.

What to expect from cannabis stores

Canada is home to over 3,000 licensed cannabis retail stores that serve recreational customers throughout the country. Canadians have enjoyed the perks of legalized recreational cannabis since 2018, and medical cannabis has been legal since July 2001. At this time, consumers who wish to access the medical market must do so through a qualified physician as retail stores are unable to provide medical products or advice. Whether you're a Canadian citizen, or just passing through, there is no denying that the “Land of The Maple Leaf" is now also the land of the cannabis leaf. For those looking to partake in the local green, Leafly's cannabis experts have gathered the essential information you need to know before going to a dispensary in Canada.
