I created an account just to review this strain. I've been a smoker for about 30 years and it's not very often I fall in love with a strain. Violet Fog is one of them. Mine was grown by Illicit. The smell and taste might not be for everybody, but for me it's a 10/10. It's hard to actually describe what it tastes like because I've never smoked anything that tastes quite like this. I'd say: floral, very creamy, slightly grapey, with a touch of some gas, but not so much gas that it's off-putting. (I tend to hate "gassy" tasting weed.) This stuff is a true pleasure to smoke. Any time I introduce this strain to someone who hasn't heard of it, they're a new fan. I wouldn't recommend this to newer smokers because it is fairly potent at around 28%. It kicks in rapidly with a very strong head high and a little bit of dizziness, but after a few minutes it mellows out into a very enjoyable body buzz. It does tend to have the "couch lock" effect, so if you're trying to get shit done, maybe pass on this until you're done and ready to chill. Not recommended for a wake-and-bake. I will also say that this weed can trigger a bit of anxiety due to how intense the initial head high is. I've read other reviews saying that this was more of a creeper strain and I don't get it... it smacks me in the face IMMEDIATELY. This is an awesome strain for after work. The flavor is so nice and unique I wouldn't recommend doing bong hits or using a nasty blunt wrap. Roll a fatty or smoke it out of a nice clean bubbler. This and Black Marshmellow #3 are two of my favorite strains in years.
