1st Saturday visit after legalization for rec. cannabis in IL. Got there about 15 min after they opened at 10:15 AM. I was there for about 2 hrs and in line outside for about 90 minutes. Once inside, things went comparatively quickly. The place is surprisingly small. I was very disappointed that they had almost no product available and we were told by security that they were “understaffed”. Huh?!🤷🏽‍♂️ I was only allowed to purchase 1 GM each of the only 2 strains of flower they had, in addition to a pre-roll joint of a 3rd strain. My final item was a bag of blueberry gummies(100 mg/10 pieces). The packaging was quality and well labeled. I realize rec. is a new process but I’m astounded that the lines are this long and these facilities managed to underestimate the amount of products they should have in hand. My 4 purchased items cost $101, $19 of which was tax! Tax per item increases based upon THC potency which doesn’t make much sense to me. I can only hope that the variety and restrictions of purchasing desired amounts improve over time. At this time, it’s certainly cheaper to purchase these items on the street but that MAY change over time as well. It’s a great day in IL though! Progress is progress. Just don’t have unrealistic expectations and be prepared to wait for a considerable period of time everywhere in the Chicago Metro Area. I have not yet sampled my product but it looks and smells to be of good quality. Incidentally, my Leafly app. stated that WCC Posen had way more varieties and products than they actually had. They also did not list any THC or CBD content for anything. Not sure why but obviously some glitches will need to be worked out moving forward. Herbs & peace to all!
