New Strains Alert: Blue Heron, Haze Heaven, Grimace, Garlic Bud, and Nurse Jackie

New strains are here, and many more are on the way! Using the Leafly app, it's now possible to nominate strains for inclusion in the Explorer. Simply enter the strain into the search bar on the "Explore Strains" page, and if no results surface, you'll be given the option to submit this variety. Keep in mind that we won't be able to tend to all requests, but we'll do what we can to make it happen as long as we can still eat, sleep, and go home every once in while.

   1. Blue Heron

Characteristics of Blue Heron:

• Indica-dominant hybrid
• Cross between Blue Magoo and Huckleberry
• Breeder: Dynasty Seeds
• Blueberry, rose, and citrus aroma
• Flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks

   2. Haze Heaven

Characteristics of Haze Heaven:

• 60/40 indica-domintant hybrid
• Cross between Northern Lights #5, Haze, Afghani, and Hawaiian
• Breeder: Soma Seeds
• Musky, spicy aroma
• Buzzing cerebral energy paired with mellow, relaxing body effects
• Flowering time of 10 to 11 weeks

   3. Grimace

Characteristics of Grimace: 

• Mostly indica strain
• Unknown genetics
• Sedating, mellow effects
• Grows into large, conic, purple buds (that may or may not look just like this off-putting fast-food mascot)

   4. Garlic Bud

Characteristics of Garlic Bud:

• Mostly indica strain
• Bred using Afghani genetics
• Breeder: The Seed Bank (now Sensi Seeds)
• Pungentspicy, musky aroma
• Relaxing body effects coupled with an invigorating cerebral buzz
• Flowering time of 7 to 8 weeks
