Our journey into the cannabis industry started in 2012 when we purchased both Mary Janes Headquarters locations in Kelowna and West Kelowna. Making the transition from employee to entrepreneur was a huge learning curve and one hell of a ride. Our goal was to make the make shopping experience a fun, chilled; yet informative and organized experience. We quickly realized how in-depth the cannabis industry and its connoisseurs were! The science is fascinating and people are looking for very specific ways to indulge – not to mention the accessory manufacturers are getting pretty creative! 

As there are many different ways of consuming cannabis and our clients want good recommendations for the best-proven quality, at different price points for every one of them. We named ourselves the 1964 Supply Company partly to recognize the year that Professor Mechoulam discovered the THC molecule; the psychoactive component in cannabis. The year 1964 is also emblematic of a time when people (slowly) started relaxing about the way we like to relax. It was a catalyst that propelled the modern world -- a socio-cultural revolution that changed how we think, work, discover, invent, play and create. It marked a time of change and new horizons. Public opinion began to shift from reefer madness to mad about reefer. Throughout the 60s, this movement began to revolutionize the modern world. Today, it is the legalization and democratization of cannabis that is re-opening the dialogue for change in our society. This type of paradigm shift is at the core of our brand ethos, as we strive to be a driving force in the conversations to come. We want our brand name, 1964 Supply Co., to be synonymous with these changes by joining the craft cannabis movement. The 1964 Blunt will feature a rotating selection the best 1964 cultivars. The Blunt wraps used in this product are tobacco-free and were chosen for their delicious flavour, smooth smoke, and even burn. Each Blunt contains 1g of whole flower (no shake or trim), that is milled to perfection before it's added to the Blunt. All flower used in the Blunt is grown in organic living soil, hang dried for 14 days, cold cured, and non-irradiated.
