Not to be confused with Mai Tai Cookies, the strain Mai Tai has a few questions surrounding its origins. On the one hand, we have the tale that seems to be most commonly told: Mai Tai is a cross of Maui Waui and Tutti Frutti. However, one of the prominent California cultivators, Jungle Boys, claims that they use a cross of Purple Punch and Sherbet to produce their version of Mai Tai. Despite these differences, the fruity aroma of this strain is reminiscent of the cocktail from which it draws its name.
