Meet the cream of the cannabis retail crop in this major Oregon city.

Though we don’t advise it, you can pretty much throw a rock in Eugene, Oregon and expect to hit a licensed dispensary. As of 2020, there are 16.1 dispensaries per 50,000 people in Eugene. Given the city has a populace of about 170,000, that equates to a real paradise of choice when it comes to finding a nearby weed shop.

Oregon legalized adult-use cannabis in 2014, which is a long time in the weed world. Oregon law requires separate licenses to sell recreational and medical cannabis. As a result, many dispensaries in Oregon are dual-licensed, but be sure to confirm this before placing an order with a store.

Yes, the “Emerald City” has earned its nickname as the spot to be if you’re in need of legal, quality cannabis.

But even for locals or students studying at one of the city’s many respected universities, navigating so many possibilities can be a brainmelt. That’s why we’ve done the hard work for you by analyzing Leafly user reviews to find the top 20 dispensaries in Eugene, plus a few honorable mentions.
