White Widow

3/29/2019
Redecan's White Widow has been a staple of mine since I started re-uping via OCS.ca, Though a hybrid, for me the sativa properties are what manifest most dominantly (a nice stimulating head buzz, no couch lock, great for being active or doing something creative) for me, so I usually get it as my main sativa-ish strain when I cop (usually 7g-15g qtys). Nice looking, well manicured, dense buds, and like with all their strains, it is very reasonably priced. Big fan of Redecan's strains, based on the end results, they seem very concerned and attentive about the quality of their cannabis (by far the LP whose strains I've bought the most post-legalization). Crossing my fingers that they'll add some of my favourite strains like Blue Dream to their strain rotation in the future.

C-Land

My experience with copping 15g of this 4 months ago wasn't good, thinking it might have been a bad batch, so I tried another 15g 2 weeks ago, and the experience was worse. Like has been mentioned the budd is extremely dry and super leafy, and actually having the foresight to weigh it this time, I found that it was more than 2g light of the 15g. While I'm aware as a long time consumer of cannabis shrinkage of the weight should be expected due to drying, a more than 13% loss kind of crazy. And when the actual weight is made up of a significant percentage of shake/leaf, that's even worse. Currently I have about a third of it left from my last purchase, and it's very hard to find any buds, lots of dust and leaf. Something I don't think has been mentioned, is the packaging used, at least for the 15g qty, is utter garbage. Both times the container opened fine the first time, and after that initial success, the child safety locking mechanism broke, forcing me to pry the top off with pliers and put it in another container. Sure, the tin looks real nice and aesthetically pleasing, but is unusable and makes me think Tweed is merely a marketing company who could care less about the utility of the packaging (and likely the quality of the cheeba). As far as its effectiveness in getting me zooted, it was pretty average when I picked out mostly bud to roll up/use in volcano chambers. I could see how other peoples' experiences could have been worse if they got a pack which had more leaf/shake concentration. Certainly nothing which helps make up for the other failings, at all. I never thought it'd be possible for legally grown smoke to reach the "ditch weed" tier, but this strain certainly shatters that pre-conception. It will be extremely hard to convince me to spend another dollar (after dropping around $270 in total for the two "15g" packs) on any Tweed products. To any new smokers or the OGs just starting to try the legal budd, I would highly recommend Redecan's strains. They use the actual known strain names (and not some sort of weird marketing alias they can trademark), are reasonably priced, offer larger qty form factors, and most importantly, cannabis how you should expect it (well manicured and dense buds).
