I’ve been a regular at Flora for 3.5 years, but over time I’ve noticed many of their products are priced about 20% higher than other nearby shops. With so many options within a six‑block radius, that difference matters — and as a long‑time customer, it eventually left me feeling taken advantage of.
They do offer price‑matching, but it doesn’t fix the core issue: their base prices are consistently higher. The shops I compare to aren’t running temporary sales — these are their everyday prices and have been for well over a year. Some customers may not realize that, but anyone working in the industry certainly does — it’s their job to know the local market. That’s why it feels unnecessary to keep asking customers to “prove” something that everyone already knows to be true.
In a neighborhood with this much competition, rigid policies can easily push loyal customers away.
To be fair, the staff at Flora have always been great — friendly, consistent, and respectful. That’s why this experience was so disappointing. The issue was with one employee who enforced the policy in an unusually rigid way and even raised his voice at me in anger instead of de‑escalating. It was completely out of proportion to the situation and unlike anything I’ve experienced here before. It also put the manager in a difficult position, especially since the rest of the team has always handled things with trust and common sense.
That shift in tone is ultimately what prompted me to write this review. The situation escalated to the point that I’m now writing a Yelp review and contacting their head office — something I’ve never done before. I’ve never written a bad review ever, which should tell you how avoidable this was.
I understand pricing decisions aren’t made at the store level, but Flora Inc. should reconsider both their pricing strategy and how these policies are applied. Experiences like this erode trust and come across as indifferent to the realities of their neighborhood and their regular customers.
It’s unlikely I’ll be back, but people should know they may be paying significantly more here for certain products. I always try to give a business and its manager a chance to address an issue before taking it public — but in this case, the situation didn’t improve. After 3.5 years as a regular, it’s disappointing to walk away feeling like this is yet another tone‑deaf approach to customer experience.
If you’re looking for a neighborhood shop, I highly recommend Kelo on Clement. Their prices are fair, the atmosphere is better, the staff treat customers with respect and the best part of all is you don't need to prove for the 365th time in a row that everyone else charges 20 percent less.

I’d rather buy my weed off the back of a van than these guys

New to town and this was my first dispensary. Tristan was really knowledgeable and helped me pick out a good product.
I have had nothing but positive experiences in this store. I'm fairly new to this, and I can always find answers and/or advice when I go to the Laurence Store.

Nice simple store layout, very knowledgeable and eager staff willing to check every cupboard for a product they “thought they had”. We picked up the Redees which are seriously the golden ticket for consuming cannabis outdoors!
