Dutch Love (Kelowna Springfield)
There’s a new normal in town and its name is Cannabis. Our aim is to make the cannabis buying experience disarming, compassionate and human. We’re calling bullshit on the stigma. Mother Earth put this good plant here with purpose—let us introduce you to a few of them. 🌎

Clean and cute place, decent staff but not overly experienced users (in my few visits at least). Some decent quality flower, but too expensive for what you get. Flower was a little too dry, and seemed like it was packaged for a long time before selling, which is expected at government dispensaries.
Dispensary response:
Hi, our staff are consistently learning and training in this new industry. We are doing our best to keep the standards high in terms of product knowledge. As for package dates we are seeing improvements each week. Next time ask to speak to a manager for better clarity. TW

The worst customer experience ever. Staff are rude and inexperienced. Last time I went there, they tried to ID my passengers in my car, who DID NOT come inside or even leave the car. Ignore the fact we are all legal adults, why would anyone who did not enter or look at the god damn building have to show id? Are people not allowed to stop in if they have passengers? What about parents looking for smoke, who just picked their kids up from school, are you gonna deny everyone who has a passenger? Will never be coming back and I could never recommend Dutch love to anyone. If you’re near the mall and need some smoke, walk an extra 5 minutes and go literally anywhere but here.

Their website shows that they only have five different strains, Move, Lift, Balance, Calm, and Rest, but I just called to ask how much THC content is in their Calm strain (I’m looking for a low THC strain) to be told that is not a strain, but a category. That doesn’t make sense to me, how about just use what everyone knows already, Sativa/Indica/Hybrid, and THC/CBD levels, that would be much easier to understand. Their website is a bit of a joke, also what’s with the name Hobo? Seems derogatory towards people struggling with homelessness.
Also when I called they said they only have one low THC strain at the moment, and it seemed so expensive compared to what I’m used to paying from a couple of the Mail order places in Vancouver I usually shop at.
The excuse I hear a lot for selling old dried out flower at high prices is that hey it’s “rigorously tested”, like some multi million dollar company testing their weed makes it ok to drive the prices up 25-30%?
Dispensary response:
Jay, appreciate the feedback. We designed our decision tree to be forward thinking, as most strains move towards hybrid status we anticipate indica/sativa to become less relevant so instead we're focusing on intent. Also, terpenes play a role in the overall experience so we're not entirely fixated on THC percentages. That said, next time you're in the store speak to a manager so they can give you full context on things like pricing, branding etc. TW
