Melon Ball

5/24/2026
I picked up Melon Baller from Cloud9 on WhereWeed and wanted to share my thoughts. The strain has a sweet fruity smell with some citrus mixed in, but I also noticed a little gas/skunky scent in the background. The taste was okay, but for me it was pretty mid and didn’t really stand out or have a strong flavor that kept building as I smoked. For the effects, I’d say experienced smokers might find this strain on the weaker side. Personally, I didn’t get much of a strong full-body high or a heavy creeping effect. I did notice some mild relaxing and slightly sedative effects that made me feel more calm and laid back, but it wasn’t anything that hit hard for me. I also didn’t get any giggly feeling, red eyes, or much of a hunger effect from it. Overall, if you’re looking for something lighter and relaxing, it might be worth trying, but based on my experience I’d rate it more as a mid strain than something that really stands out.

Mochi

8/30/2025
**Strain Review: Mochi (aka Gelato 47, Mochi Gelato) – from Cloud9** I recently grabbed some **Mochi**—also known as **Gelato 47** or **Mochi Gelato**—from **Cloud9**, and it turned out to be a solid pick. This hybrid strain is well-known for balancing **creativity** with **pain relief**, and it definitely lived up to the hype in terms of effects. ### Effects: The effects hit smooth and steady. I felt a noticeable boost in **creativity** early on, followed by a mellow **body relaxation** that helped ease tension and minor aches. It's not too sedating, so you can still stay functional and mentally sharp, which makes it great for evening use or laid-back creative sessions. ### Flavor & Aroma: The flavor was **earthy and starchy**, not overly sweet like some other Gelato cuts. It’s got this unique doughy, herbal note that makes it stand out. If you're into strains with a natural, grounded taste rather than sugary terps, you'll probably appreciate it. ### Bud Structure & Quality: The buds from Cloud9 were **dense and slightly soft**, which made them easy to break down by hand. Personally, I **wish they were stickier and had more of that frosty THC crystal look**—the kind of sparkle you see on really top-tier flower. That said, the quality was still solid, and the effects were definitely there. ### Final Thoughts: Mochi has **good effects**, a **unique flavor**, and a **relaxing but creative high**. While I would've liked a bit more stickiness and visible trichome coverage, it still smoked well and did what it was supposed to do. **All in all, I’d rate it an 8.5/10**. Definitely worth checking out—especially if you’re into hybrids that won’t couch-lock you but still bring that chill, pain-easing vibe.
