A nice, reliable dispensary with friendly staff and frequent specials. Open every day of the week, even if it's for limited hours. Online ordering is nice for when you just want to run in and pick up your order without waiting in line to order what you want. Would be nicer if product availability for online orders (which have a required pick-up time of 24 hours or less), though. Variety of selection is good.

Fairly dense, frosty, sticky flowers. Green with with frost. Doesn't smell particularly melon-like to me, and I hate the smell of cantaloupe. It does have a vaguely sweet-fruity scent to it, but it's far overpowered by the cannabis scent. Doesn't seem to produce a lot of smoke, but that may be because I found it difficult to pack in my hitter, due to the stickiness. The aftertaste is slightly sweet, but that's the only thing even remotely cantaloupe-like I get from this one. Pleasant light head high, physical relaxation, light-moderate pain relief and a happy, perky feeling are what I get from this one. Not my favorite medicine for my fibromyalgia (X-Wing currently has that position firmly secured), but still a solid daytime choice and also helpful for my depression.

Awesome! This was my first trip to a dispensary and while I understand that many people are understandably frustrated by lines, waiting and medicine selling out (Kool-Aid Kush sold out right as I was called to the counter to choose my medications, making it impossible for me to get, but luckily I did manage to get the other two strains I wanted to try), I can't fault The Clinic Mundelein for those issues. They're simply dealing with the newness of the program and getting their sea legs and doing an admirable job of it, in my opinion. The dispensary itself is small but nicely put together (it reminds me of a combination of a high-end yoga studio and a Lululemon store; nothing pretentious about it, just classy and slick but still somehow bohemian). The waiting room is well-stocked with drinks and small snacks, the staff is courteous, helpful and friendly and the entire process was straightforward and simple, from the moment I walked in the door. I ended up getting Purple Urkle (Goldleaf label) and X-Wing (Rythm label) at the advice of the lovely gal who helped me at the counter, both of which have been great choices (I'm particularly loving X-Wing and will definitely be buying more of it). Unfortunately, The Clinic Mundelein is 1.5-2 hours away from me, so once the dispensary that's set to open 15 minutes from my house gets their approval, I'll likely be changing my dispensary of choice (since we're only allowed to choose one). But that's not a reflection of The Clinic. I would happily stay here if the drive wasn't so long (when you're in chronic pain, even a somewhat reasonable commute becomes much more difficult) as I love the staff, the atmosphere and the medicine.

5+ stars if you're looking for a lead blanket, super relaxed, pain-relieving, sleepy strain. I wasn't expecting such a strong effect from this one, but it hit me like a ton of bricks. The couch-lock is strong with this one. Scent and flavor-wise, this one has a cheesy mustiness with lots of pine (to my nose and tongue, anyway). I'm not a fan of the smell or the taste, but I'm completely willing to overlook them because the effect makes up for them. The smoke was a bit harsh, but not bad. This one is almost definitely going to be my go-to when I have heavy pain, can't sleep or just really need to relax.

Good pain relief, help with insomnia and relaxing feel. I have fibromyalgia, which comes along with widespread pain and difficulty sleeping, and Purple Urkle has been a welcome relief from both. Probably not the best choice if you need to be more than mildly productive due to the relaxing effects. The scent is slightly fruity in a candy sort of way, like grape candy mixed with standard weed smell. The flavor is subtler. With the grape candy flavor only coming through slightly. The buds are very nice looking. Deep purple-green buds with orange hairs and a green base.
