The best THC drinks of 2025: Reviews and recommended products

Top overall THC drink

Cann Hi Boy

5mg THC + 10mg CBD

If you’re new to THC drinks or introducing them to someone, there’s no better place to start than Cann. We can’t get enough of the citrus & spice complexity of Blood Orange Cardamom and the Goldilocks potency of the 5mg THC + 10mg CBD Hi Boy dose. The THC brings a lifted, social high to the party, with the CBD helping to keep things balanced. The high comes on gently at first and then settles into a solid buzz that feels fun and present without being overpowering. We’re just as likely to bring a pack to a party as we are to crack one open after work on a Wednesday night.

Blood Orange Cardamom | 8,12, or 16 cans

starting from $40.00 at Cann →

With all-natural flavors and light, non-syrupy, agave-nectar-driven sweetness, Cann’s Hi Boys are tough to beat in the flavor department. The bright blood orange flavor is zingy and crisp, with a unique depth I would normally expect of a really good mocktail. Lemon Lavender and Grapefruit Rosemary round out their flagship flavors, and they’re frankly all fabulous.

We love that Cann makes it easy to pick the right potency for you with 2mg THC and 10mg THC options available in the same flavors. Depending on your THC tolerance, you might want to start with the 2mg microdose, or take the stonier road with the 10mg. Cann’s modern, quippy style and their dedication to messaging THC drinks as a social-drinking alcohol alternative play a part in the brand’s massive popularity, but ultimately, it’s their product that’s won them the top spot.

Cann sits comfortably atop the ever-growing THC drink mountain, with a range of THC potencies and some of the most enticing flavor varieties offered in the beverage market today.

Best THC seltzer

Cornbread Hemp Raspberry Limeade THC Seltzer

5mg THC

With a balanced, buzzy, stress-melting high from 5mg THC, only 30 calories, and 5 grams of sugar, you’ll have every reason to feel great drinking the Raspberry Limeade THC Seltzer from Cornbread Hemp. This THC drink takes the edge off just like we’d want from a hard seltzer, but with easy-going, present effects that won’t give you a sugary-alcohol hangover the next day.

Raspberry Limeade | 4, 8, or 24 cans

starting from $23.99 at Cornbread Hemp →

Cornbread picked up a Silver medal from L.A.’s High Spirit Awards for the Raspberry Limeade THC Seltzer, while their Salted Watermelon flavor took home the Gold (it’s also so so good). The tart + sweet combo of the Raspberry Limeade simply lives rent-free in our heads. The berry sweetness is just right without feeling syrupy, with the lime bringing a zestiness that dances on the palate, teaming up with the bubbles for an oh-so refreshing sip.

Cornbread Hemp is one of the foremost names in wholesome, high-quality hemp products today, so when they introduced THC drinks to their lineup, we had good reason to believe they’d be the good stuff. And boy, Cornbread did not disappoint. THC from Kentucky-grown hemp plants combined with all-natural flavors means this light and refreshing bev is all good-natured fun, and dialing in how you want to feel is as easy as two cans or one.

Best THC mocktail

Cheech & Chong Magic Mule

5mg THC

If you’re looking for a laid-back good time, you know you’re in the right hands with Cheech & Chong. The legends themselves have blessed us with this tasty THC mocktail, scratching the itch of a Moscow Mule with no hangover risk to bum you out. The classic mix of ginger and lime gets the THC treatment with 5mg per can from American-grown hemp plants. And because Magic Mule is made with a rapid onset recipe, you’ll feel the easy-going buzz in as little as 10 minutes.

Magic Mule | 6, 18, or 36 cans

starting from $19.95 at Cheech & Chong →

Made with zero calories and zero sugar, Cheech & Chong’s Magic Mule is a drink you can stack cans of for stronger effects without next-day regrets. We found it to be an ultra-approachable high: you can pack a party cooler and get everyone on the THC drink train with its familiar flavor and balanced, lifted effects. Magic Mule offers social, relaxed happy hour vibes that won’t leave you feeling couch-locked or drowsy (though your mileage may vary depending on how many cans you consume).

If you’re digging Magic Mule, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Cheech & Chong make a great “Tommy Palmer” infused iced tea and a lovely line of citrusy THC seltzers. Since first grabbing Cheech & Chong’s Magic Mule from a cold case at a Minneapolis co-op, we’ve been hooked. This is some real good stuff, man.

Best THC lemonade

Cycling Frog Raspberry Lemonade

50mg THC + 50mg CBD

If you look at the standard fare of 5mg or 10mg THC drinks and think, “not nearly potent enough!” then we have the drink for you. Not only is Cycling Frog’s Raspberry Lemonade THC beverage bursting with bright, tart, lemon-and-berry goodness, it’s one of the highest potency THC drinks around. You get 50, yeah, you read that right, FIFTY mg THC in a single can. Heavy on the bliss, this drink stands out with a long-lasting, full-body high.

Raspberry Lemonade | 4 cans

starting from $29.99 at Cycling Frog →

The sparkling Raspberry Lemonade is bubbly and effervescent with a mouthwatering sweetness that’s matched with balanced tartness. This isn’t the THC drink to serve to a first timer, but if you’re a seasoned consumer who doesn’t want to stack cans on cans to get high, there’s no better drink to keep on hand. For the cannabis flower die-hards at Leafly, it’s the bev that’s driven the most conversions to the THC drink lifestyle.

Cycling Frog’s long been hailed for their flagship THC seltzers, winners in both taste and effects, with striking flavors like Black Currant and Ruby Grapefruit and a stackable 5mg THC per can. They always catch our attention with their limited-edition creations, too, bringing to life unique, seasonal selections that tend to sell out quickly (and for good reason). But it’s their high-potency lemonades that most have our hearts.

Best THC soda

Keef Original Cola

10mg THC

Original Cola tastes like hitting the soda fountain after school, like splitting a 2-liter and a pizza, staying up way past bedtime, and playing video games all night with your best friend. But there’s weed in it! 10mg of THC, the standard recreational dose found in many dispensary edibles, is included in each can, giving you a substantial buzz to look forward to. Pick up a four-pack, order that pizza, and you’ve got the adult version of those perfect nights.

Original Cola | 4 cans

starting from $16.99 at Total Wine & More →

We liked how the Keef high settled in with a giggly, no clouds in the sky type of relaxation. The higher 10mg THC dose works especially well since this was one of the higher-calorie drinks we reviewed (it’s a soda, after all); you don’t have to drink multiple cans to get the same buzz. For a team where the tolerance level swings high, we found that Keef kicked the party off swimmingly, got us solidly stoned, and kept that energy for about 1-2 hours (all bodies are different, your mileage may vary!).

Keef Original Cola was born in Boulder, CO, and the cannabis-infused version is a staple of dispensary shelves in 11 different states, including Arizona, Illinois, and California. The brand has now brought its iconic THC soda to an additional 12 states with a hemp-derived version. Now, the just-right nostalgic flavors of classic cola can be enjoyed by folks across the country, and, thank goodness for that—it’s a treat that’s likely to become your go-to if you’re a soda fan.

Best THC spirit

A large black bottle of MXXN tequila alternative sits against a white background, one of our 10 best THC drinks

MXXN Jalisco Agave Tequila Alternative

4mg THC (100mg per bottle)

MXXN is making a name for itself with some of the sharpest spirit-replacing THC drinks money can buy right now. The brand’s Kentucky Oak and London Dry offer flavor profiles mirroring bourbon and gin, but it’s the tequila alternative, Jalisco Agave, that our glasses crave most. With touches of oak and salt, the subtly sweet Jalisco Agave delivers flavors that feel perfectly at home in margaritas and tequila sodas.

Tequila alternative | 1 bottle

starting from $79.99 at Wanderous →

A single 1 oz pour delivers 4mg THC, a thoughtful decision from MXXN that teams up with the 15-30 minute effects onset time to provide a 1:1 spirit replacing experience. You can expect happy hour vibes with a talkative, easy-going buzz.

Best THC aperitif

A large, dark blue bottle of Artet THC Aperitif sits against a white background, one of our 10 best THC drinks

Artet Flagship Aperitif

2.5mg THC (37.5mg per bottle)

Skipping the booze doesn’t have to mean skipping out on a complex beverage. Artet’s Flagship Aperitif fills a niche for cocktail enthusiasts, providing a dry, herbaceous experience that brings THC to your bar cart. The amaro-inspired aperitif performs beautifully neat or on the rocks, letting you fully appreciate its botanical profile, or use it as a building block in your next favorite cocktail.

Amaro-inspired | 1 bottle

starting from $34.00 at Artet →

Artet crafted their Flagship Aperitif with close consideration to the details of the drinking experience, choosing a fast-acting formula that allows you to feel effects much more quickly than with traditional edibles. The 2.5mg THC per serving dosage can neatly mirror the liqueur experience for THC beginners, with a first glass giving a relaxing but clear-headed microdose, and second or third glasses stacking to a more significant dose that may provide a social, euphoric lift.

Best zero-calorie THC drink

An orange can of Wynk Tangerine THC Seltzer sits against a white background with heavy condensation on the can, one of our 10 best THC drinks

Wynk Tangerine THC Seltzer

5mg THC + 5mg CBD

With zero calories, zero sugar, a rapid onset of effects in 10-15 minutes, and a 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD, there’s a lot to like about Wynk THC seltzers. The happy, carefree buzz fits nicely with the bright, lightly sweet tang of Wynk Tangerine, our pick of the flavor bunch from the brand. There isn’t a miss in their lineup, though, with Black Cherry Fizz, Lime Twist, and Juicy Mango all proving to be crowd pleasers in their own right. The Experience Pack lets you try all four for a discount.

Tangerine | 6, 12, or 24 cans

starting from $35.99 at Wynk →

No hangover, no calories, and a stress-melting, happy high: this is a winning recipe for a guilt-free good time. Wynk’s combination of light, social, buzzy effects and refreshing, reach-for-another flavors makes these THC seltzers a real contender for go-to brand status. To top it all off, they make a 2.5mg THC version in the same flavors, so you can pick your poison when it comes to potency.

Best unique buzz

A blue and purple can of BREZ OG Social Tonic sits against a white background, one of our 10 best THC drinks

BRĒZ Social Tonic

5mg THC + 10mg CBD + 2200mg Lion’s Mane

One of our favorite tasting THC drinks in any category, BRĒZ’s OG Social Tonic isn’t all good looks. The unique buzz feels effervescent and uplifting, with 5mg THC mingling with 2200mg Lion’s Mane for a clear-headed euphoria we can’t get enough of. Italian lemon and elderflower make for a sweet, citrusy, herbaceous affair, something you’d reach for on taste alone, backed by a balanced high that hits quickly and lingers for a little over an hour with a lovely, social, uplifting effect.

Lemon Elderflower | 6, 12, 18, 24, or 48 cans

starting from $48.00 at BRĒZ →

BRĒZ designed the OG Social Tonic with the goal of being the ideal alcohol alternative, and we certainly aren’t arguing. CBD and Lion’s Mane create a uniquely balanced, present effect that encourages easy-going, social vibes with fast-acting THC bringing euphoria and full-body relaxation to the party. Because BRĒZ uses nano-emulsification, you can feel effects in as little as five minutes for a more social, predictable experience that’s made for connection and celebration.

Another big bonus with BRĒZ, they’ve created the OG in three different dosages, so you can easily choose your own adventure when it comes to the THC potency you prefer. 2.5mg, 5mg, and 10mg THC options mean the microdosers amongst us can pick up the 2.5mg cans, while those with higher tolerances can grab a 10mg 8-pack. Cannabis + mushrooms sure looks like the future wave with the quality of this offering from BRĒZ.

Best THC drink for socializing

A red and yellow can of Herbal Oasis Mango Bliss THC Social Tonic sits against a white background, one of our 10 best THC drinks

Herbal Oasis Mango Bliss Social Tonic

10mg THC + 10mg CBG + 2500mg mushrooms

We appreciate when a product tells it like it is, and “oasis” and “bliss” are exactly the right words to capture the vibe of this Mango Bliss Social Tonic from Herbal Oasis. With a juicy burst of all-natural mango flavor, this THC seltzer combines the best of hemp cannabinoid power with a special blend of functional mushrooms, L-Theanine, and Vitamin B12 for a drink that tastes as great as you’ll feel.

Mango Bliss | 4, 12, or 24 cans

starting from $24.99 at cbdMD →

Herbal Oasis understood the assignment when it comes to making a social beverage. Crave-worthy flavors? Check. Fast-acting formula? Check. Then, when you get to the functional ingredients, you realize they’re making some extremely high IQ decisions.

A more substantial 10mg dose of euphoric THC pairs up with 10mg CBG, a rare cannabinoid known for it’s stress-relieving potential, then they add 2500mg of their proprietary blend of mood-lifting mushrooms, and round out the supergroup with L-Theanine and Vitamin B12 for energy and mental focus that helps balance out and clarify the intoxicating effects of THC without dampening the party. Make friends with Mango Bliss, and you might never look back.

Things to consider when choosing a THC drink

Understanding these key details can help you make the best selection for you when shopping for THC drinks.

Dosage

Dosage refers to the quantity of cannabis ingested in order to achieve desired effects. A dose is measured in milligrams (mg), usually of cannabinoids such as THC or CBD.

Understanding dosage is important to inform what kind of experience you want to have. Generally, a larger dose will encourage stronger effects.

Drinking too much cannabis isn’t going to hurt your body, but unwanted or unpleasant effects from edibles can be avoided if you know the dose of the product and what dose of edible works best for you.

  • Everyone’s body is different, and the same dose can affect two people very differently.
  • Always start with a small dose and gradually increase until you find your ideal dose.
  • Experience and tolerance also play into dosing— consumers with a higher THC tolerance usually need a bigger dose to feel the same effects as a less-experienced consumer.
  • How a dose affects you can depend on many factors, including tolerance, body weight, and metabolism.
  • Most substances have increased effects with an increased dose (monophasic), but with THC, at a certain point, effects will be less as the dose increases; there is a sweet spot of getting the correct dose to get the desired effects.
  • Start low and go slow: Remember, you can always drink more, but you can’t drink less.
  • If it’s your first time trying a THC drink, we recommend starting with a microdose (2.5mg THC).

THC dosage chart

Visit our edible dosing guide for beginners for more information on dosage.

Potency

Potency refers to the strength of a cannabis product and is measured by the concentration of cannabinoids like THC and CBD.

  • Potency in cannabis refers to the concentration of THC or other cannabinoids in a given product.
  • Potency can be listed as milligrams of THC or as a THC percentage.
  • In dried cannabis and cannabis concentrates (e.g., flower and vape products), potency is shown as a THC percentage.
  • In edibles like THC drinks, potency is measured in milligrams of THC.
  • Generally, the greater the number of milligrams of THC a product contains, the stronger or more potent the product will be (e.g., a cannabis drink with 10mg THC per serving will have more potent effects than a cannabis drink with 2.5mg THC per serving).

Flavor & experience

Just like with any other beverage, flavor and experience are key components of choosing the right THC drink for you.

  • THC drinks come in a wide variety of flavors and types. Some of the most common include seltzers, sodas, mocktails, lemonades, spirit replacers, aperitifs, teas, and shots.
  • THC drink producers often, but not always, design a THC drink’s dosage to loosely match the strength expected from the most similar alcoholic beverage. For example, THC seltzers often contain a low dose of 5mg THC per can, similar to the relatively low alcohol percentage you would find in one hard seltzer. Comparatively, a 1-oz pour of MXXN’s tequila alternative contains 4mg THC, a more concentrated dose of THC that mirrors the experience you would expect from one serving of hard alcohol.
  • Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis and other plants their unique scent. Terpenes bestow cannabis with its distinctive odor and contribute to its flavor. Terpenes can be added to THC drinks and may contribute both to the flavor profile and the effects experience. Learn more about terpenes here.
  • Some hemp-infused beverages can exhibit a hint of plant taste. This is the natural flavoring of the hemp extract included to infuse the drink with THC and other cannabinoids. Many brands include balancing flavoring to counteract any hemp-y taste, and some extracts have less plant taste than others, so it’s unlikely to affect your experience. All of the recommended products on this list have low-to-no plant taste.
  • Many THC drinks are made with a fast-acting formula, providing effects that “kick in” in as little as 5-30 minutes. This means that they’re made with a process called nano-emulsion, where cannabinoids are transformed from their typical fat-soluble state into water-soluble cannabinoids that can be processed by the body much more quickly. Learn more about nano-emulsion and how edibles work.

Ingredients & health

  • Non-alcoholic: THC drinks do not contain alcohol.
  • THC: THC drinks contain delta-9 THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the active compound in cannabis and hemp that causes you to feel high.
  • Minor cannabinoids: Some THC drinks contain other cannabinoids in addition to THC, like CBD, CBG, or CBN. These cannabinoids are also derived from cannabis and hemp plants and may contribute unique effects to the experience.
  • Hemp extract: Hemp extract is the concentrated oil containing THC and other plant compounds, like CBD, included in THC drinks.
  • Flavoring: THC drinks can contain natural or artificial flavorings, such as agave nectar, cane sugar, and fruit flavors, among others.
  • Functional mushrooms: Some THC drinks also contain functional mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Maitake, or Reishi. Mushroom extracts included in THC drinks are not intoxicating or “magic” mushrooms and are meant to benefit cognitive function.

More information on cannabis-infused beverages and health: More research is needed to better understand the potential risks associated with ingesting cannabis infused beverages. A recent study published in Cannabis: A Publication of the Research Society on Marijuana, available through the National Library of Medicine, outlines existing cannabis beverage literature, focusing on the risks of acute intoxication and inaccurate labeling, and recommending further research.

Quick facts

These definitions and facts are here to help you better understand the infused beverages category.

What are THC drinks?

A THC drink is a beverage infused with delta-9 THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the active compound in cannabis and hemp plants that causes you to feel high.

What is hemp-derived THC?

Cannabis products with less than 0.3% THC are considered hemp and are legal at the federal level, since 2018. Hemp-derived THC is delta-9 THC derived from plants with less than 0.3% THC by dry weight, the legal definition of hemp.

Learn more about delta-9 THC from hemp here.

What is in a THC-infused drink?

A THC-infused drink contains THC extract from hemp or cannabis plants, the fundamental ingredient that produces a “high”. They also contain a beverage base such as water or juice, flavorings and sweeteners, and may contain additional cannabinoids or functional ingredients.

What types of THC drinks are available?

THC drinks are available in just about every beverage category you can think of; seltzers, sodas, mocktails, lemonades, spirit replacers, aperitifs, teas, shots, energy drinks, and coffees are some of the most popular types of THC drinks.

FAQs

You asked, we answered! Here are some of the most common questions about THC drinks.

Are THC drinks intoxicating?

Yes, THC drinks are intoxicating.

What THC dosage should I start with?

If you’re new to THC drinks, we recommend starting with a microdose or 2.5mg THC. Wait at least one hour before consuming more to gauge how THC drinks affect you.

Do THC drinks contain alcohol?

No, THC drinks do not contain alcohol.

Are THC drinks legal?

THC drinks derived from hemp (cannabis with a delta-9 THC concentration of no more than 0.3% by dry weight) are federally legal, provided they stay within the 0.3% delta-9 THC limit.

States have the authority to regulate or ban products containing delta-9 THC regardless of federal legality. About half of US states currently allow for the legal sale of hemp-derived THC beverages. Some states additionally have specific regulations concerning the labeling and dosage of hemp-derived THC products.

Cannabis containing more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight remains illegal at the federal level. Nearly half of US states have legalized medical and/or recreational cannabis sales. Beverages containing THC derived from cannabis are sold through state-regulated cannabis dispensaries.

Where can I find THC drinks?

In US states where hemp-derived THC products are legal, THC drinks can be found in liquor & beverage stores, grocery stores, convenience stores, hemp & CBD stores, and more physical locations, as well as online for direct shipping from the drink producer, or from online retailers.

THC drinks derived from cannabis exceeding 0.3% delta-9 THC can be found in state-regulated medical or recreational dispensaries.

Adult-use cannabis isn’t legal in my state. Can I still purchase THC drinks?

If you live in a US state without adult-use or recreational cannabis sales and where federally legal hemp THC products have not been banned at the state level, you can likely purchase hemp-derived THC drinks in stores or online.

Check your state’s current regulations for the most accurate information.

How many THC drinks will get you high?

Like with any THC product, how much THC you need to take to feel effects will depend on many factors, including your THC tolerance, body weight, metabolism, and more.

You can refer to our dosage chart above to get a general sense of the amount of THC that may be right for you. 2.5mg THC is considered a microdose and a good place to start, and 5–10mg THC is a common dose found in many recreational cannabis edibles.

Always “start low and go slow” with THC products; you can always take more if you’re hoping to feel stronger effects, but you can’t take less. Too much THC won’t harm your body; however, it still may result in an unpleasant experience.

Anna Elliott
Anna Elliott is a writer, editor, and longtime cannabis nerd based in Seattle. She joined Leafly in 2021 and currently works as the brand’s Senior Content Editor, where she helps shape stories about the best in weed from must-try strains to standout gear and gifts. Before Leafly, she spent nearly a decade reviewing products, covering emerging brands, and championing the people behind them. She’s passionate about making cannabis content accessible, fun, and genuinely helpful. And yes, she really does believe Space Mints hits different when you’re alphabetizing vinyl by mood.
