Shaggy (née Orville Richard Burrell), the Jamaican-American artist who cranked out reggae fusion-tastic tunes like the mid-90s hit "Boombastic" and the 2000 not-about-farts song "It Wasn't Me," expressed in a recent interview with the Miami New Times that the Islamic State extremist militant group known as ISIS can be defeated with two simple things: reggae music and Jamaican cannabis.
“There’re two thing you want to do when you listen to reggae: You get somebody pregnant, or you’re fucking high. High people don’t want to kill nothing; they want to love. They need to bag some Jamaican weed and distribute it amongst Isis. I guarantee there won’t be any more wars out there … Throw some Bob Marley up in there and there’ll be peace. Some of these world leaders need to be stoners though, really.”
If ISIS were to heed Shaggy's advice, he envisions less violence, more babymaking, a lot of cannabis, and peace in the Middle East by way of Bob Marley tunes.
