The Roll-Up #29: Know Your Miranda Rights

The Roll-Up features Leafly editors Bruce Barcott, Ben Adlin, and Dave Schmader in a Friday morning roundtable about the week’s top cannabis news.

The Roll-Up

Episode 29: Know Your Miranda Rights

This week: With Bruce temporarily banished to Alaska, Dave and Ben wrestle with the future of 4/20, offer Coachella cannabis tips, and gaze in admiration at Cynthia Nixon’s cannabis-themed tweet-whomping of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

What, are you not familiar with the show? Every Friday, Leafly editors Bruce Barcott, Ben Adlin, and Dave Schmader dissect the week’s top stories in cannabis with analysis, arguments, jokes, and obscure cultural references.

The Roll-Up: It’s a news and culture podcast that hits the sweet spot between stoned and scholarly.

News Stories Mentioned in Episode 29:

I don’t understand how Scott Pruitt can think the EPA logo looks like a pot leaf when it’s obviously based on a Mario power-up. pic.twitter.com/zQ1ntNqNVI

This Week’s Corrections & Confirmations

Corrections: None so far. Dave’s Spuds MacKenzie reference may require an apology, but not a correction.

Confirmations and Explanations: Spuds MacKenzie was the original party dog, a

bull terrier who derived extraordinary pleasure from partying with vibrant young people while in the presence of copious amounts of Bud Light in the 1980s. Sometimes Spuds wore Wayfarers, shades he wore because his future appeared so bright. College students had posters of this dog on their walls. Seriously.
