I procured the Banjo from Coastal Sun Farms, the buds are dry and kiefy, very terpy, and a jade, lime-rind green color. They're relatively small (1-2") and spindly -- The Aroma is a musky tangerine; a friend of mine said it smells like an orange that fell from the tree and sat out in the sun, I think that's accurate, but in my mind it rests somewhere between tangerine and vomit.. As far as cannabis strains go, I think this one smells somewhat pleasant, especially to a novice nose I could see this being a good choice. Reminds me a lot of lemon skunk / tangie burger. -- The taste is definitely similar, and comparable. A touch hazey, but citrussy, floral, zesty, and cheesy.--For effects, Banjo leaves me feeling energized, spaced out, and just a touch stoney. It's functional, but it's definitely a moderately sedative strain. It gives me a touch of anxiety, making me want to start chewing my nails, oddly enough.
I recommend this strain for novice users, with a warning to use it in good company. It might make you a little spaced out, or make you reflect on something you've been putting off... if you give it the time to ride, and embrace the feelings that come, this can be a positive, uplifting strain. Just don't expect it to make you super productive!
