Smells like orange
April 20, 2019
Definitely an old school strain! And brings back memories! . The smell is unexplainable. I know I’ve smoked this great strain as a teen, grabbing my old man weed bag to roll one up to smoke this sweet, citrusy goodness! The plant initially appears mottled or deformed with the new apical growth that emerges! Has been a very beneficial experience with this strain! Would recommend for second-time growers. medium propagation difficulty
pungent orange smell/taste nice looking buds. smooth on the lungs. level high thats light, relaxing and overall chill.

For being a 50/50 hybrid I found this strain acted like a total Indica for me aside from the mood. The bud was a uniform green with long bright orange hairs on it that smelled and tasted like orange. The high was uplifting but very heavy. After vaping an overload I found myself feeling like a ton of bricks, unable to move even if I wanted to. It didn't make me sleepy at all, rather it put me in a talkative happy mood, or uplifted severe anger/depression.
I definitely love that strain. The fruity/citrus/orange taste slightly candied really mark you when you first try this bud and gives it's awesome taste that makes you want to smoke more of it. The buzz goes either ways depending on the activity you're doing at the moment you vape it. The first time I felt so horny I thought someone mixed some Viagra or Cialis in my coffee before vaping. I learned not a long time after it wasn't the case because those drugs don't act the same way but understand the reaction of a guy who never tried those pills. The second time I was hiking and it gave me energy to continue much farther than my initial goal. The third time it made me overcome stress. Overall you generally experience a happy, uplifting euphoria that is perfect for a daytime use. That said it's still a moderate to high buzz so I don't necessarily see a new smoker being fully functional doing his job but perfect for a weekend introduction to marijuana as it carries both sativa and indica effects.
Can't honestly give a 5 star rating to this strain; However, there are a few reasons that should make this bud a unique contender for your next purchase.
Cali-O is a highly active and clear-headed sativa in light doses, leaving the user energized and ready to go. In higher doses, Cali-O can bring on some deep euphoria and relaxation that might have you a bit less active and a lot more couch-locked.
Having tried the flower, shatter, and vape cartridge of this strain, I can say that across all mediums the high is quite fleeting. That's to say, the enjoyable cerebral stimulation and energy rush you enjoy for the first half hour or so will usually dissipate into a body-wide relaxation and mental calm by an hour and a half after smoking (regardless of amount).
That being the primary reason for the 4-star rating, it's important to add that this strain doesn't produce any mental encumbrance or "THC Hangover" after the initial high fades, which makes this strain great for those who just need a jumpstart to their day or workout routine.
I'd recommend California Orange for use with stress and fatigue, as those are the two that I can speak to from experience. The buds have a pleasant citrus-like smell, reminiscent of oranges but not entirely the same (unless you get the wax/cartridge)

If you want a good buzz don't buy this strain. Very mild to say the least and I'm certainly not a veteran smoker. I felt like I wasted my cash on this one .
Its really a daytime strain you really dont wanna smoke it at night if your ready to sleep. Not a favorite but a great strain if u have things to do just dont over indulge could leave u sleepy.
