Orange Velvet reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Orange Velvet.
New strain for me. Taste is there, this is a Select cartridge and they're not known for focusing on the "taste" of a strain, so the fact that there's any orange there at all is pretty nice.
As to the strain's effects listed on Leafly, I don't necessarily feel focused when using this one, but I do manage to get stuff done, just not necessarily the "RIGHT" stuff I NEED to be doing.
Very happy and calm on this strain. I'd rate it higher, but it's so mellow and so not what I was expecting, I'd need to inhale a LOT of this for me to have a non-critical review. Most strains I try have a very small sampling of what they're like when only toked 1-2 times and this one isn't blowing me away, but it is a nice mellow buzz, so it's got that going for it.
Felt like it was a little on the expensive side for me to want to experiment with this strain again, but I can't say it's the worst in the world.
My favorite strain so far.
More than a novelty strain. Yes, it tastes and smells like oranges but it is wonderful for many different applications. It kills pain better than the Leafly description gives it credit for. It produces wonderful euphoria and warm thoughts, and really does a number on depression. In fact, in my experience it alleviates depression better than any other strain. It just has a knack for getting your brain to secrete all the right chemicals. I feel happy and uplifted for days after use. It also seems to help my tinnitus. Sure, it rings a bit louder during the high, but seems to lower it considerably afterwards. In fact, after a month of OV I experienced some of the lowest levels in recent memory. The high is definitely more dreamy than clearheaded. And I should also mention that Orange Velvet is an extremely powerful aphrodisiac. The only negative that I can think of is that there is a small bit of anxiety when it starts to wear off but nothing major. I would say it is good for beginners. I know Leafly has it rated as a high anxiety strain but that has never been my experience. I do not understand why this strain is rare. Monster THC levels are not everything. Sorry to be long-winded but Orange velvet required a bit of explanation. BTW when you make edibles with OV the taste is horrible! pairs terribly with chocolate but mint extract solves the problem.
Strain effects are subjective. At smaller doses, this strain provides me with stress relief while increasing my focus and creativity.
Larger doses, this stuff sends me to the fridge and then it’s nap time.
It's too bad this lightweight sativa doesn't get more love; the terpene profile is absolutely off the charts. It's like smoking the rind of a clementine orange, without the nastiness that actually smoking a clementine rind would create. It would be perfect for someone new to cannabis; experienced users might prefer something with a bit (ok, a lot) more kick, but if you're looking for a maintenance burn, the flavor can't be beat
This is what I would call a great functional strain.I use it when I'm home early from work and want to get busy with a project I've been putting off or do some house cleaning, artwork or gardening. This is much more mellow than I am accustomed to. Great for social situations but don't expect a very strong or long lasting affect.
Absolutely delicious! Tate’s like Orange Cream Sicle .
Flower with a unique nose to it being tangy, yet extremely smooth leaving a lingering taste of orange. Buzz does not come on heavy or get any heavier over time it just is mellow. So if a heavy hitter is desired this is not the strain, but if a wonderful taste coupled with chill vibe works wrap yourself in some Orange Velvet. Very middle ground hybrid leaning slightly sativa. Slightly effective for migraine relief, but wouldn't use for this again. Highly effective for relaxation, at home projects, long sessions of lovemaking/napping, and lots of munchies will be in store for whatever path this flower sets in motion.
