Pleasant uplifting strain that has helped me cope with depression. An earthy peppery flavour with some higher notes, that isn't too strong and I actually enjoy. The high is very 'heady' but with clarity that allows you to keep functioning as normal. I'm able to think and be present when I need to be but when I close my eyes and drift away the 'magical' feeling takes you with it. I think I'd recommend this strain to someone looking to feel blissed out and relaxed - whilst also wanting to function and enjoy their day.
By far my favorite strain to date, since regularly smoking this on the coast by the water (especially in bright sunny days) it makes all my surroundings very bright and beautiful, i am able to fully take in all the beauty around me and i tend to find myself sat smiling at the bright colors around me ignoring those speaking to me. highly recommend.
Great daytime strain. Puts me in the mind of Jack Herer, but a little less cerebral. Eases pain while giving you a sativa heavy experience. A great way to start the day!
This strain will have you on another planet! star dawg is all bite and takes you to the next level
The first time I got to try StarDawg was in Ventura, CA back in 2010. I was growing Pre98 Bubba, and had taken a sample to a friends house. While there my friend said his buddy had just dropped off 1/2LB of this strain called StarDawg.
We rolled a 4gram blunt and poured some tequila. I don't remember much else.
StarDawg spoke to my soul. So much I agreed to trade a cut of my beloved Pre98 Bubba for a few cuts of this StarDawg.
Later I would learn the cut had come from Kyle Kushman, and within a year I was closing up shop on Pre98 Bubba and converting everything to StarDawg.
How do you describe a room with a few thousand? INTOXICATING. Spicy Nag Champa incense.
With Pre98 Bubba I could guarantee an OZ on a plant. With StarDawg at week 4 I could tell I already had way over an OZ. She would go on to average 2.5 oz in a 3 gallon pot filled with coco.
Once cured it should smell sweet like sour diesel but then your nostrils get hit with extreme spicy, but with hints of mint or some would call it kind of Pine like Kosher Kush. Basically most of that nag champa leaves out but a touch does remain. You can find it once you grind them up and they haven't cured for a few months.
I dedicated my medical growing career to this strain and changed many lives. Only strain I ever grew that always had 50Lbs pre-sold. Was universally loved between male & female clients.
I would go on to cross this strain with Tahoe OG, Chem-D, and finally Pre-98. The best cross came from a cut I had called Chem-T. I had crossed Chem-D with Tahoe OG, and called it Chem-T. You got the weight of Chem-D with the effects of Tahoe. Once crossed with Star Dawg the lemon smell went into over drive with raw spice. Harbor Side was blown away.
Nice strain for going out. Makes you chatty and lively.
Calming, sedative effect.
Tastes like cedar smells
