I got in my bathrobe and the stress I'd felt, the gnawing hunger felt satiated somewhat. Calm. Relaxation. I can't say the journey here was entirely pleasant-- my palatte errs on the bank of the riverside where fruits grow, where honey trickles. This was of a dark and mysterious wood, with great trees that towered above and a faint rot, a beneficial rot. Cleansing rot. They're ash trees, you know. They store century eggs in the hollows of them. At least, I tasted century eggs. But I don't like century eggs. I quite like this. The joint's ash yielded, reticent as I spiraled my little friend around, smoke billowing. Not all are like this, and canoe just as easily as the birches bark does the same when a young lad or lass or wee child peels it from the tree. Does it lose anything of itself when this happens?
I love the world quite a bit.
I believe I like what I just smoked. I think I'll stay entrenched in the playful rot for a while.
