Captain's Cake reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Captain's Cake.
Captains cake has been a constant go to time and time again. This strain will leave a nice OG taste in your mouth that will stick around long after medicating, the smell matches the taste with a somewhat sweet and spicy pungent OG smell that will have your nose hairs on end. Don't let me forget you will want to horde this bud because of how much you will just want to savior the aroma. The buds are very pretty and vibrant with long tangly orange hairs, Wrapping around frothy trichome coated nug. The trichomes give the bud a mystic looking surface almost otherworldly! Now the high is perfect for pain or anxiety, with the high lasting long without a crash. This is a manageable daytime indica leaning hybrid with percent's as low that ive seen being around 24% all the way up to 27% so some crops maybe yield differently.
This strain gave a HEAD High seeping into a SEDATED MEDITATIVE relaxation. Recommend for anyone after a long stressful day.
This is a pretty good strain.. definitely a mild citrus, sweet sour kinda taste.. very pungent! I got pretty relaxed.. looks great . Light to dark green with lighter red hairs, covered in crystals. Chunky med size nugs.
New to this, so I’m still learning about strains and the general terms. A friend suggested this strain when I said I was looking for something to help with anxiety/racing thoughts that prevented me from falling asleep. This works wonders! It knocks me out (unlike some meds where you’re in and out of sleep all night).. like, I actually feel the sleepiness start happening AND it doesn’t give me that hangover in the morning like melatonin does. As someone who is less experienced, I can still say this in my top three strains (probably tied at two).
Oh, I didn’t even mention how I feel before I fall asleep. Holy crap does it make me super giggly. If I had to describe what I expected a “stoner high” to feel like, this would 100% be it. I was completely oblivious to any stress I had been feeling prior to smoking it, which is something I need.
tl;dr
I’m a newbie, so excuse my lack of knowledge.
It starts off feeling more like a sativa with the giggling and creative energy.
Completely took away my stress.
Then you gradually start feeling tired until your brain is like, “No, we sleep now!”
**I have bipolar disorder and the initial *sativa feeling* doesn’t feel like mania to me, but I guess I can see where people who’ve mentioned it are coming from, everyone reacts differently. Just wanted to mention this in case others have read about negative interactions between this and bipolar. Even if you do feel super manic, it should go away as soon as that sleepiness hits you.
Great high, easy to overdo it. Has a great body feel but also really nice head feel too. Felt light and relaxed.
Captain’s cake was a heavy hitting strain. This is definitely for heavyweight smokers looking for a strong hitting bud. I got halfway through the joint before I was euphoric, body heavy, and my eyes felt really heavy. This strain put me more to sleep, as the heavy body and head high had me snoozing shortly after smoking it. I recommend this strain for those with difficulty falling asleep and/or feelings of stress and anxiety.
5 STARS (Can't see the "Rate this strain" chart.)
If you're looking for relief from chronic pain, Captain's Cake is as good as Dakini Kush, 9lb Hammer, Bubba Kush, Purple Punch, et al. For me, at least, it is rare to find a strain that not only relieves pain, but also rewards with a body high. This strain did so. So. Even knowing that everyone's physiology is different, I will still say:
If you want relief, if you want mellow, if you want someone to whisper away your pain for a while and to remind you to step back and take a breath...
Maybe at least consider trying Captain's Cake? I doubt it will hurt, and it might even help.
I got yer qualitative study right here. I have gout. People think gout happens to big guys who eat like King Henry VIII. Well I am a big guy, and I used to be able to eat a bucket of fried chicken 5 nights a week. But I weighed 145 lbs at the time and couldn't gain an ounce to save my life. When that started to change I stopped eating like a foo but the damage had been done. Gout doesn't go away. It's known for inflammation of the toes but it can attack any joint with swelling, pain, loss of motion - arthritis symptoms, basically. I have it in all my toes and my left ankle. I'm trying to get in shape now, because although I'm gouty for keeps, I figure taking the best care I can of myself, via nutrition and exercise and striving to not be an asshole, is the best shot I got for livin my best life. So yeah, that's what I try to do.
One of the best exercises you can do for your upper body, without paying a dime to a gym or for equipment, is push-ups. Unfortunately, as you know, push-ups require holding yourself up on your toe tips. Yesterday, and most of the days before, I could bang out about 20 pushups at a clip, as long as I had on thick socks and solid shoes. That protects my toes but hurts in other places, like the ankle, but I Conan thru. Today, though, after about 3 solid rips on the good Capt's Cake (3 probably being at least one more than I needed, but what the hell I just got my card and I've been waiting for this my entire life...I want it ALL), I pulled off a few sets at 25 pushups per, in bare feet. You can safely say my pain is relieved.
As the night marches on, and a couple more rips are had, I'm able to seriously max and relax, like I haven't done in some time. The munchies aren't too bad, which is good cuz that has the potential for hamstringing this whole self-improvement kick I'm on...but I ain't gonna lie and say I'm munchie-free. All in all just a very nice sit-right-there-and-chill-all-night experience. Forget your vague plans of watching some toob or reading or playing a video game. No, you're going to put something trippy on your headphones, recline, and think your thinky thoughts. Lucky you.
So yes, absolutely, Captain's Cake. Good for your gout, good all throughout. Get you some today.
