This stuff smells so sweet and floral to me, unlike other flowers, its the shit, indica dominant easy on lungs, clean hits that taste just like the flowers smell. A current favorite.

cool strain
Tasty, smooth & mellow smoke
Some other site's 'strain-personality calculator' told me Dutch Treat was A1 for my type of mind/mood. Skeptically, I followed that advice and inhaled a .6 g DT pre-roll laced with DT kief. Yes, Virginia, I received what a web-app promised. Uplift, energy, much verbal-imaginative-intellectual activity, 'euphoria' (I still don't know what that means; maybe like well just "I feel great/happy/calm/totally non-threatened"? Dunno, but that is my special word for when cannabis works the way I think it ALWAYS should, makes me feel good in just that way. Oh: I went back the other site's calculator again (I only tonight discovered Leafly has an even more detailed and flexible search tool), this time (alas) for migraine pain: not A1, but Dutch Treat was 3rd in line. Tried again and yep, 18 minutes into a headache I hit 3 big and 2 little tokes on another DT-kief preroll, and the pain was tolerable in about a minute, reduced by >50% in 135 seconds, and gone-baby-gone (good riddance, ya think?) in less than 5 minutes. These headaches average about 75 minutes, so that is something (and yes, there are two other strains I count on for this medical purpose, Ewok and Northern Lights, but when the pain's gone, the DT is a nicer slice of "Hi there! High there?" (at least in daytime when I need to get things done).
So: Dutch Treat is great fun and (for me) good medicine. The kief surely pushed up the THC content past 30%, but I find generally since that first homegrown leaf joint in 1978, the blend of cannabinoids and terpenes, and whatever else is in there, is far more important. So 'plain' 20% weed is to me just as good as the same weed with its own kief added to raise the THC to 30+. This I think we mostly all know, who have partaken more than 50 times or so (in fact, about half the time I buy C. that is labelled as 15% or less but a strain I know well or comes recomennded by someone who reef-ormation I can rely on, even at the same price as weed with 20-24% THC. People on Rx Marinol or Sativex who have any prior experience with our plant majorly complain that the pharmaceuticals don't work as well, and sometimes make them feel worse, since they contain only THC (no CBD, CBG, CBC, THCV, or terpenes).
This is a 'chill' strain. Imagine it's the weekend, maybe a holiday, and you've got nothing or little to do but don't want your time to just snap away. Dutch Treat is a remedy for that exact situation. Simulating just enough to keep your brain titillated that I'd recommend treating it like a beer, 'sip' it, enjoy it slowly throughout the day because it's -that- kind of chill.
Personally, this strain was all style (taste) and little substance (weak but acceptable high). Monitor yourself closely on Dutch Treat because if you're like me you will easily, perhaps too easily, consume more than you intended leaving you questioning where it all went.

Smells of pine like something that fell from a tall tree u ask me, not a lot of taste smokes great though and great for headaches.
New found favorite. The initial draw (water perc) is so smooth, do not, I repeat do not let it fool you. The exhale starts off normal then an intense black peppery burn sets in, have a beverage handy, bubbly is preferred in my case. Once you can breathe normal again rinse and repeat to your preference. I feel this strain is a bit lighter than others and step up the intake by 30-50% of my normal quantity in an effort to reach the desired high. If you happen to be in a not yet legalized locale consider this a warning, this strain has as serious aroma that lingers and hangs on everything. We're talking you can smell it in a windstorm.
In my case, about 10-15 minutes passed before I really noticed much. While cleared headed and happy, thoughts seem to come and go. If you are in the company of others you may find this strain a little chatty but not bad. As the high proceeds relaxation sets in and stress is just gone, you're not tired but you could certainly go to sleep readily if wanted.
If using flower, a grinder should be on hand. The buds are so sticky you'll lose the best part to your fingers pulling it apart, the buds are to dense to burn well otherwise.
As a side note, a 50/50 mixed bowl with Dutch Treat and Gorilla Glue #5 is in my opinion one of the most fantastic head and body highs around. Grab snacks and put them in arms reach, you'll be hungry but you will not want to move.
After moving to Oregon, I made a list of all the famous strains I wanted to try. The Durban Poisons, Northern Lights, GSC. The stuff is out there, but in a felony possession state, you rarely know what you're getting.
Now that I was able to pick, I found myself on the Dutch Treat. It greeted me with the thick Hazelike terp profile, tacked onto a sweet, earthy backdrop. A fascinatingly distracting smoke, this is best for after the day is over. The effects pile on prominently and seem to come in waves.
Clean, crisp body high.
As you can tell by the long rambling review, I can see this one being good for creative endeavors too.
