Since my headaches have randomly been getting worse I figured it was time to get RSO again. I do enjoy this one over some of the others I've had. I think I found my proper dosings for all my needs, man do I need different doses for different things! Also for anyone that ingests RSO/Distillates that have dentures, you can just put it on you denture plate like denture glue LOL.
I also enjoy taking a dab of RSO every now & then. Before you jump down to the comments to tell me you can dab RSO, yes, you can, no it's not a waste. I've noticed it provides strong psychoactive effects but lasts less long as other concentrates when dabbing.
Flo is doing surprisingly well for the headache, and I'm hoping next time I have a migraine this will help.
Finally got a version of flo that hits me pretty hard, it has a lot of the fruity smell attached to it. This phenotype Flo #2 it has a white purple leafs and bush out more wide than tall, there is a lot of room in-between the branches and calyxes are very frosty and foxtail outwards,it's pretty heavy for the weight to size ratio surprisingly. The pistols on this thing are blood red mad, and have a gradient of bright starting at the base and dark at the tips. This version of flo hits me straight dead on and I have a lot of the creative side, there is no lingering effects and I feel happy, but not so overly stoned. I finally understand the nice balance of this strain the purple thai really shimmers in this strain the afghani structure for the bushy-ness over all wonderfull and excellent it replaces my morning cup of coffee very worth it. I also wrote this review, simply because the phenotype of this strain is just a stronger version of flow. There would have to be a different cross of genetics to create a different phenotype that or just heavily inbreeding to create something new. Over all a great sativa/ awakening. Helps with pain concentration and getting my shiz done for the day thanks flo your really nice tasting and the effects are great and the cut off is nice and straight forward :D. Makes me a happier camper.
I grew this strain the very first year cannabis was legal to grow. In S. Oregon, we can grow up to 6 plants w/o a permit.
I moved here from Texas that year so my skills were a little rusty. Thank goodness my neighbor, (a police man)was a lifelong seasoned grower here in SW Oregon. He knew what strains would grow the best in our micro climate.
We planted six trees in Gold Hill and six in Sam’s Valley. The GH grow was all Flo by DJ Short. We ended up starting them in February inside a tent and on Mother’s Day they gradually went outside until they were ready for full sun.
Those trees were planted in 100 gallon smart pots and every one of them were over 14’ tall. After harvest we had accumulated 46#’s of some of the most beautiful buds I had ever seen before.
The taste was fruity and EVERYONE wanted to buy some. It sold out faster than the DJ Shorts Blueberry. Both are great strains but Flo is one I’ll NEVER forget. The colas on every Flo tree were as big around as my thighs and super tall. Bugs absolutely hate this strain so pests are not a problem really. The colas are very tight so in order to keep them from molding or rotting, you’ll definitely need a fan and a dehumidifier. Keep the room cool around 70 with all lights off. I found that they tend to tighten up quite a bit so don’t hang the whole cola thinking it won’t rot because it usually will.
I gave this strain 5 stars because everything about this strain kicks butt. It’s not lacking anything really. It has the look, taste, smell, and high that makes this strain top shelf everywhere it sells.
This is the strain that I picked up From SWOP, they've never had Flo before and its the exact kinotype. A little head high at first hitting my third eye similar to a headband high. A little dry but nothing to harsh herbal taste. Its a light hitter for sure I think I'll try a harder version by cranking the vape heat thin vape that lingers and moves around. Its the high that makes you feel nice I will admit this original Flo is very different from others I've tried I'm impressed with the effects of this strain.
Its good for concentration even though I am absolutly sore all over and feel so lazy this reminds me of how awesome it is to be alive and achieve so much and prepair tomorrow better :D
Flo is a unique strain since it's covered in head to toe in dark leaves but when I grind it up the bud is fluffy and light green it has a hidden make and when ground I guess reveals it's true colors. Reeks of lemon lime and has a very thin vape. It's a medium hit, but next time I should pass on flow its still needs to heavier, but over all has a hopeful mood and a depression and of course if your looking for more of a boost of energy this is for you somewhat on pain too. Love the taste just wish it was a higher powered strain for my heavy hitter tolerance, its funny thats genetic stonerism from my mothers side XD.
DJ SHORTS FLO:
Been enjoying this plant for 25 years. A cross between two ancient legends(P. Thai x Afghani), It started out at around 13% THC and is now up to 23% and up. while it is difficult to name an absolute favorite strain or even compile an honest top 10, I can say with confidence that FLO is comfortably in my top 10 and is battling Sour Diesel and J1 for my all time top spot. The current batch I have may have just nudged FLO over the top into #1.
Gorgeous dark green buds with stark orange hairs and deep purple calyx. The aroma harkens back to a time of sitting on a Sunny beach in 1995 with 311 or Sublime playing in the background. Subtle sweet fruity aroma that just screams “summer”.
A delicious mild hitter. The taste is as complex as the smell. So much going on. Perfect for newer tokers and great for old timers like me.
NOW for the medical affects. It is my opinion that most strains don’t actually do anything for physical pain, most just get you so high that you don’t realize that you’re still hurting(placebo effect etc) Flo is different. Flo is one of the few strains(at least for me) that actually helps physical maladies. Joint pain, inflammation, headache, fibromyalgia etc. this stuff really works. I rolled one up for my uncle who suffers from a degenerative spinal issue, and he felt so good that he was actually able to stand up for a few minutes. I recommend it for people recovering from knee surgery specifically.
DJ SHORTS FLO, is one of the all timers, a gift to the planet, and belongs in the Svalbard Seed Bank.
Flo smells of strong pine, sweet lemons too. I would give more for this strain, but since its not a heavy hitter I use it to treat mild symptoms. Since flo has a skunky flavor and pungent textures, its great but the taste doesn't last long. Ive had flo from all over this state and it just doesn't hit me with the euphoria like other strains do. I would say its great for being a little more ambitious with what to do. However if your looking for something light but not over powering for your first time, and with a happy uplifted strain like flo; youre gonna have a good time.
Coughed hard on this strain and unlike most strains that hit me keep me dazed, I would say this cannabis strain is more a lighter one and needs to hit harder from this dispensary not bad though smells of pine and citrus pungent woody textures, but not skunk great for a mellow day :P. I would suggest it for nausea, pain, eye pressure, and fibromyalgia.
