I picked up a healthy portion of Green Poison the other day. I was instantly drawn to its dense buds, held together with a generous dusting of sticky crystallized trichomes and its sensational scent of sweet citrus and a hint of woody/pine. It was so gorgeous, I didn't even want to consume it! ...but then I broke down! I busted it up and packed my pipe and lit it ablaze! The smoke was a creamy, mildly thick and very pungent. It burned clean and quick, leaving nothing but weightless ash behind. At first I was a little disappointed by the immediate effect as it seem a little to light for my seasoned smoker tastes. But within a minute or two, all my disappointment was erased into a cloud of thought and appetite, without even noticing! While this strain packs a wonderfully clear and potent euphoric punch, it's late onset heavy effects generally wear off relatively quickly (within a few hours) only to leave you in alert but still in a state of relaxation. I highly recommend this strain if you find it; not a heavy high, but a wonderful high!
I have done large grows of G.P. 9 times now and was credited by a Sweet Seeds team member with revitalizing the popularity of the strain with some of my reviews and pics at various sites.....bottom line is i know the strain very, very well. I was a tester for the newer "fast" version too.
I love this strain, mainly be cause it gets high marks in potency, weight, ease of growth, height, type of high, uniformity, smell and taste, etc. Probably no 10/10 marks, but mostly 8/10 and 9/10. It's a very nice all-around strain and probably my personal favorite. Sweet Seeds has not released the genetics of the parents but it's safe to assume it's a hybrid of a sativa and an indica. Sweet Seeds says it's 70% indica/ 30% sativa but it's really more like 50/50.
So, smoke a little bit and it feels like a sativa buzz, all in the head and eyes. Smoke to much and it becomes a knock down, drag out indica. with a nap in your future. It's fruity and spicey to the senses and gets a thick resin cover on the buds. Sweet Seeds says it's a 7 week flowering period, but I let mine go to 9 weeks to bring out the essential goodness we all look for.
Relaxed, calm and clear headed high without the couch lock and sleepiness.
Tried a few growers on this strain and not one of my favourites - sorry to say it, but never really hits the mark with me....
Well, i would write a proper review, but it's hard since everytime i smoke i fall asleep.
Literally had a friend over to try it with me, we both fell asleep, this is some strong stuff... We both had a problem with taste, tasted like someone shoved forest dirt into your mouth, we both experienced an intense bodyhigh, we didn't care if we looked dumb towards eachother, it was a really good time, but not really a party strain, most likely something you'd smoke late at night with some tea & a sandwich.

Very strong high. It is the allrounder in weed despite being a indica you feel active and not couchlocked. ONly reason its not a 5 star is the cotton mouth. its too severe. taste is also not that good
muy buena mota, al amigo de mi primo le dio comezón en los huevos, mi primo se volvió ciego, y yo estoy todo feliz y euphorico tambien
