Durban Poison reviews

Location: Lightshade on Sheridan
THC: 1.22%
CBD: Unknown
THC-A: 21.5%
Additional Notes: Tried four flavors from two different Lightshade locations. Two were hit, two were miss. This is one of the misses.
Appearance Rating: 3.00 Appearance Description: The individuals growing this strain did a great job. However, I did find a couple of seeds which was a little disappointing. The trimmers left all sorts of leaf and stems - and not the leaves covered in trichomes.
Taste Rating: 4.00
Taste Description: The flavor of these is rather unique. It is almost a sweet lemon citrus with an herby spice to it. This is not one of my favorite flavors, but was a nice change of pace.
Effects Rating: 4.00
Effects Description: This strain gave me some creative energy and put me in the mood to get things done. Despite having strong sativa effects, I didn't feel any anxiety from it. The high seemed to come in and leave relatively quickly.
Overall Rating: 3.67
Overall Summary: It is really disappointing to see these with leaves, stems, and even some seeds. I feel this strain has some serious potential, but everyone involved in the cultivation of this cut has some room for improvement.
I'm Keith Von Fraichen ... You Keep On Fraiching
I grew this through 5 crops and if I would not of known better I would have thought it was 5 different strains. But no, If you dial this baby in you can produce giant buds that are bigger than footballs. My experience was it needed lime and really loved a mixed lighting of hps and led. Really massive plants. I was able to take 7 arm size buds, that were 12" accross off of one plant. That was super cropping at its finest. That was harvesting early and it produced a very pretty clearish green/silver oil that was so smooth and tasty. This will be one of my favorites for pain.
(HG) Durban poison is a go to daytime strain. It gave me a boost of ambition to clean my house from top to bottom while dancing along to music. It's not terribly potent, but used during busy days, and it can be your best friend. I also experienced some seriously great sex with my partner. I'm gonna keep this strain for those special occasions.

I really enjoy this strain. My wife enjoyed it in cartridge along with several others. It gives a good euphoria, smiling, relaxed and yet enough to get easily aroused.
I had high hopes for this strain and was very disappointed.
Durban looked great, smoked smooth but it's "creeper" effect left me anxiously freaking out over nothing. I drove around looking for something to do/distract myself but everything seemed intense and stressful. The high lasted incredibly longer than what I'm used to.
I didn't think it was possible for me to dislike a sativa but, it's possible because I did not like Durban.
Being such a notable strains brings expectations. Maybe that played into my negative experience by getting me hyped only to be let down. I wish I had been more open minded. From now on, I'll stick to my usual haze strains.

Energized, focused high that feels, for lack of a better term, speedy. Thoughts come quickly, there's a tendency to fidget and find yourself wanting to move around. This would be great for a day of cleaning / chores or even board games with friends.
Other upside is the THCV in this strain - no munchies! It suppresses the appetite, which might be an issue for some people.
Downside is the edginess. It's not a happy, carefree high. It can cross over into anxiety and irritability. Definitely a strain whose experience is linked to your state of mind. Returning to and maintaining a positive mindset softens the edge.
It feels like a strain made for buckling down and getting to work. It seems to break the cycle of overthinking but it puts you in the mindset of a workaholic parent who neglects their children. Or Gordon Ramsey, as my friend pointed out.
Awesome, heady high that still allows me to get things done without stress or anxiety. My go-to from my local dispensary.
High quality African Landrace Sativa, when grown well, it'll never disappoint. Very much a cerebral and productive high, great for migraines and improving circulation to the brain. Flavor/aromatics are always very floral and sweet. A+++
