Melt into couch. Eat a lot. Can't concentrate. Day dream. Sleepy. Sometimes confused, unsettled. Tastes very herby, but not unpleasant. Memory issues.
one of my favourite strains. if I have a hard time getting to sleep, I know I can count on this strain to help me relax enough to sleep. it leaves me feeling a nice happy and stress free mood, and you can just melt into a couch or bed in pure bliss. I highly recommend granddaddy purple for anyone wanting just a nice chill
This is my favorite strain! It helps me with insomnia and my muscle spasms! I don’t think a doctor could prescribe me anything better than this!
It also works better than sleep teas from my experience. I used to drink sleep teas before going to sleep, but I think after a while of daily use it stops working, or it becomes less effective. This was used after using melatonin pills that stopped working, and those were used after sleep pills that stopped working.
I have horrible back pain, scoliosis and sciatica, and have been seeking help for this problem for a long time. I grew up poor and became poor as an adult, and have never been to afford any sort of help. I turned to going to a chiropractor and a masseuse, but I could only afford so many visits. I eventually resorted to doing yoga daily. It helps a lot, and it’s affordable, but it takes longer and continued practice to see positive results, but I still do it every night and now couple it with GDP!
When I learned of the effects of this strain, I had to get my own stash, and I’ll eventually grow my own! I’m grateful of nature, and the person who created this strain, Ken Estes! I feel that there’s hope for me to live a better life because of this strain!
One of my favorite indica strains. This helps me relax and to have a great euphoric experience. Tried this in 2012 and thought it was an A-, now I give it an A+. Definitely will be looking for this one more often.
Such an astute night time strain! The taste could be a little more grapey and little less diesel
This is finally available in flower form in Tallahassee. This is a staple in my Med box, flower and concentrate.
I find that whether I’m enjoying this strain alone or I’m mixing this flower with stronger battle companions like Skywalker OG etc... Gdp tends to mellow out the anxiety factor those higher THC strains can bring on, lending to even better pain control and consequently overall anxiety and stress control.
Love this in every form and Florida’s Finest is my favorite concentrate terp flavor and effect wise. The Float flower was worth waiting for.
Granddaddy Purple is a go to all day and night for me. I require the relaxation this strain affords me.
GDP is my absolute favorite indica because it’s everything I want in an indica; I’m happy, a little dreamy, and feel so physically comfortable wherever I am. I love that it slows down both the mind and body. I find myself comparing other indicas to it.
Indicas are dangerous in general to me. I have dysautonomia & for whatever reason weed acts the opposite usually of what it says. Makes you sleepy? Nope. Anti-anxiety? Instant panic attack.
So this is one of the few Indicas I can tolerate. At a low dose (probably 25-50%) what most people take. 1 sec or less drags on a vape & holding for 1 sec tops & I will get stressed. There will be a heavy weight on the top of my skull & this will cause me to fight a panic attack centered on my central nervous system off. Your brain in that location controls motor function so it's not a coincidence that I nearly lose control & have a seizure due to this strain. In the effort of getting it to pass, I turn off all lights, sounds, etc & lay in bed. The stress puts me to sleep, so yeah in that regard it does help with sleep. Just not how you'd think.
There is some focus to it, however when you have anxiety the past thing you want is to focus too much. If you can't get your mind off the panic, you can become trapped & this strain is terrible for that. Indicas supposedly are better for anxiety bit in my experience Sativas work better. They give me energy, & I can't focus long enough to realize what triggered me.
Pay attention to the terpenes & if you have nervous system disorders you'll see Jack Herer, Sour Diesel, Myakka Gold, Double Dream all work well. All have similar profiles. This profile & others like it (Lavender for example) are dangerous. Lavender is even worse than this. I cannot tolerate it at all.
