Granddaddy Purple reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Granddaddy Purple.
Solid body high. Pretty strong stuff so better for me going easy. I’m prone to cannabis-anxiety and going too heavy with this I feel it. But I’m moderation delightful
Grandaddy purple is by far the best strain of cannabis I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying. When one thinks of indica, symptoms such as hunger, drowsiness, and mellowness come to mind. Granddaddy purple is the perfect example of an indica, as it not only meets all criteria, but exceeds them with flying colors. No strain has ever come close to recreating the feeling emulated from it, that being a true sense of calm and peace within. Easily my favorite indica strain and also my personal favorite strain all in all. If you are in search for a new indica, look no further. This strain will be the finest you can get.
By far one of the best Indicas I’ve had, Granddaddy Purp is a great strain to end a long day. This strain has an amazing ability to zap away pain and melt away stress, and leads the user into a mellow, body dominant heaviness.
Pros: soothes anxiety; relaxes the body; relieves pain; melts away stress; body dominant high with a calming, euphoric, warm head high; eases insomnia; increases appetite
Cons: the only downside is that unless you have an energy drink or coffee, it is not a good day time strain. But it’s not a major downside as we know indicas are known for being a nighttime strain
Not what i am used to but it's alright.
I reviewed this 7 months ago as a 4 star strain. Turns out I hadn't given enough time and attention to really enjoy ol granddaddy purple.
It's a delicious blend, with a long tail sploof that'll chill you put. I'm almost out of it and that's making me a bit sad. Will need to make another run to the store before that happens.
Very cool and sedative strand, relaxing and sleep inducing. Highly recommend for those that struggle to fall asleep.
taste is "fruity" color nice and dark purple.
this was a very very relaxing almost zzzz
buzz.
Note: I myself am on the autism spectrum, and find it can be hard to find information of how weed affects neurodivergent folk like myself, so I hope the insight of this autistic girl (I'm pointing at myself. I'm really stoned so I think I'm funny (stoned on GDP, in fact!)) might help others like me. That said, everyone is different, so what helps me may or may not help you. <3
I suffer from frequent headaches, occasional migraines, insomnia from time to time, and chronic depression and anxiety. Grandaddy Purple is pretty much my best friend when it comes to dealing with any of the above for me, to the point where my partner has started jokingly saying "thanks grandaddy!" when I use this strain and it helps me feel better.
A very stony high to be sure, and lovely, fruity terpines to relax and soothe you into a blissful, dreamy state. Within about 10 minutes of vaping or smoking GDP, all my pain is just *gone* (meaning GDP does the seemingly impossible for me; kills headaches that conventional painkillers can't) and I'm just kind of chill, happy, and relaxed.
I've also found that if I get "too high" on a high-energy sativa or hybrid, GDP is the perfect antidote, and in no time Grandaddy can put a bad high back on track and turn it into a pleasant one for me. I've also used it for pain in combination with CBD oil to make up for GDP's low CBD content.
All in all, from the amusing name to the rich terpine profile, painkilling potential, and a really enjoyable, relaxed happy high, I very highly recommend Grandaddy Purple. An excellent indica all around.
Grand Daddy Purple or GDP for further reference is a favorite of my spouse (I love it as well). She has had the same hip replaced twice and treats for PTSD, Bi-polar, Depression, etc.
GDP relieves her pain, relaxed her mind, and helps her sleep. As typical of Indicas it may take a few minutes to set in, but when it does you will feel your body relax and slow down. For evening use or a lazy day on the couch.
Consumption method: Water pipe with honeycomb and tornado plate filtration.
Taste: Berries and grape
Purchased: Liberty Rockville, MD
Final thoughts. GDP is top notch for sleep, pain relief and relaxation.
Note: This strain is not to be confused with the Ken's GDP. Ken Estes is the originator of this strain and crossed the strain back into itself. Ken's GDP has more of a cerebral pop, but in my opinion is not as sleepy, relaxing, or pain relieving strain as the original GDP.
