"That GDP!" is what was said to me and my group of friends when sold the famous Californian kush. I still remember the smell, the look, and the first smoke of GDP just two years ago. That eighth destroyed all standards of everything we smoked prior and referred as "dank as hell." Granddaddy Purple made me care about what strains I smoked! From the sweet taste to the roaring imagination, Granddaddy purple is one for the books. Stoned from one bowl split by three people, I finally woke up and saw the world.

I had the opportunity to try some granddaddy the other night and boy was i pleased with it. My experience was that if you want something light, something that will help maybe in a social setting this is the perfect strain for that. I was sooooo relaxed, but not to the point of couch lock, just completely at ease. Conversation was great too. I wasnt trying to wade through the typical heavy heady indica that im used to, and then forget what rant i was on halfway through but felt way more connected to my thoughts and the conversation in general. A very pleasant social high that was more centered in my body and a bit at the front of my head. I didnt give it a five just based on the taste, but it was probably my buddies old bong water that was to blame for that :P

This one is so great for appetite and pain! Solid indica with a delicious smell and taste! The buds are huge for an indica! Don't be smoking Grandaddy Purp if you're planning on getting a lot of stuff done in the next few hours! Definitely recommend to any indica lover.

Truly a legendary strain, this strain is in my top 5.

This strain is DEFINITELY a pure Indica. The high can sometimes seem to take a minute to kick in, but when it finally does.....dear god it hits you with some force. Novice smokers beware...take it easy with this one and don't get carried away otherwise you'll end up falling asleep for 12 hours straight. This has all of the perfect effects of a deep Indica; the heavy arms, the low eyes, the pain relief and major relaxation capabilities. My only con when it comes to GDP is the taste. But that being said, it isn't anything TERRIBLE. It just doesn't compare to some other flavorful Indicas. Anyone looking to combat insomnia, this is the stuff for you.

This is the first time I have ever tried this and helps with my migraines and my sleep and stress a lot. It got me glued to my couch and watched a ton of movies what I love to do this is by far the best strain in a while I love the taste and love the smell heavy relaxing high
