Wow! As a disabled combat vet I have issues clearing my head and dealing with severe anxiety. Some people react badly to sativa strains due to the anxious causing possibilities. JH for me is incredibly uplifting. I dab it before the gym in the morning and it’s like i took my pew workout shake. I’m focused yet relaxed. This strain makes all my worries and mental issues disappear within minutes. This is NOT a night time strain at all! I find it works best for me personally (everyone is different with different strains) when done early in the morning. This is for sure a strain I will keep on hand always.
I really want to like this strain, but it doesn't seem to give me euphoric, energized, and happy feelings that others seem to get from this high. I often find myself very anxious and paranoid while using this strain, which takes saps away the energy I would like to put towards creative hobbies like writing or music. If you are easily made anxious or having racing thoughts, I wouldn't recommend this one.
So far it's my number one strain as far as a must have to help me get through a day of hard work. My fatigue and anxiety diminish
and my head stays clear enough for me to solve problems.
If I was stuck on an island with but a single strain for which to grow and smoke from, that would be Jack Herer. It's an awesome daytime medicine but be advised, if you take too much (even if you smoke every day like me) it'll leave you on your ass like I am right now. This strain is every thing they say it is except Jesus Christ. Ok guys? Jack Herer is NOT Jesus. Ok, that's settled. Really though, it's great.
As far as the grow, I hear it grows awesome, or something... I've no idea. BUT, whatever the trouble, this strain is wellllll worth it! Thick indica like with sativa effects.
Woody, piney smell almost like a beard oil. Love it. By smelling it and watching a picture of who Jack Herer was, you can imagine him smoking his herb out of a wooden pipe, sitting on his favorite couch with a lamp near him and a library full of great books to read from. Even if you had absolutely no idea who this guy was prior to smoking the glorious herb bearing his name.
Anyways, give this one a solid try. Look. I've said it before. What can I say. Jack Herer might well be my all time #1 strain for treating fatigue, depression, ADD and minor anxiety (as well as pain, although I haven't used it for that specifically). This strain has a solid medicinal reputation, if only it was thrown to patients as easy as opioids are...
Great really helped when I was feeling down in the dumps

As far as Sativa's go, this is the one that gives me the most of what I might expect from one. Comes with a kick, so most positive experiences come from switching off to another kind after a hit or two.
Also Rocket Fuel when tired.
Potent, narcotic-like strain. Reminds me of being on opiates. Although it's a sativa it's so relaxing that it's hard not to drift off to sleep. Good stuff.
Smell is subtle springy, minty with a touch of lemon. Or is it lemon with a touch of mint? Either way it’s inviting. Tastes like it smells, every note is subtle but distinct and the flavor is nicely balanced. A light hashy flavor on the aftertaste and very smooth smoke.
Takes two or three minutes to work. The high is very cerebral, great for attention problems, anxiety or if you need motivation to get things done.
After the initial 20 min, the high tapers off leaving a positive, uplifting energy and an acute awareness of ones self. This can be very helpful with self-examination and mental healing for anxious or depressed people.
Because of the massive energy boost this is a strictly daytime strain. The relatively short initial high and uplifting effects coupled with low chance of paranoia make this an excellent choice for new users.
