Ken's Kush reviews
Thank you Ken Estes for changing the game of growing/cross breeding THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF THE BEST STRAINS EVER CREATED! I've tried 2 phenos/variations of this strain as I've heard there really only is 2. 1 is pretty much a PERFECT 50/50 balanced hybrid as the OG Kush used in it is a more Sativa dom cut at 55/45 ratio which is pretty much identical to a 50/50 ESPECIALLY when the Sativa genetics are as strong as Chem '91 & Lemon Skunk & with an Indica as strong as the legendary Hindu Kush. This pheno seemed to start out w/a nice energetic Sativa rush & was very racy & cerebral both in mind & body & then about 15 min after ur fully convinced u've been lied to about this strain & it has ZERO GDP in it is RIGHT WHEN u get a warm tingling sensation in ur forehead & behind the eyes & then u feel it slowly radiate down ur entire body til u feel the warmness vibrating all the way down to the bottoms of ur feet & u then feel the mental hapiness & alertness of a true sativa while enjoying the full warm body massage like high that we all love GDP for. The other pheno is Indica dom at a 65/35 ratio with an amazing relaxation without passing out.
Great Trinity of the Cali classics I grew up on. Hella chill just kicked back like Granddaddy Purps and OG Kush do but the Sour Diesel cherry on top adds an uplifting focus state and subtle cerebral activity. It’s a top tier strain all around feels like a fantastic indica with a nice energy buzz that keeps you from going into that comatose state.. great for social and talking it kills all the anxiety makes you chill calm relaxed and keeps you focused and present I just discovered it but it’s an instant staple in my cabinet
Very nice, extremely relaxing without the sleepy, I would say it leans much more heavily on it's GDP side than the OG Kush side at least in terms of flavor which was okay kinda old school flavored but with a hint of berry but while the GDP brings the relaxation the OG brings something more upbeat hence no sleepy at the same time it doesn't keep you awake and I actually slept very well once I ready. All around a great strain the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I've decided to start grading a little tougher because I've found so many amazing strains lately it'd all be 5 stars

I really enjoyed the cross of these three strains. The GDP really sweetens up the mix and adds a touch of grape. I love grape. The high itself was comfortable, but I still got a sativa emphasis similar to Sour Kush or Headband but not overwhelming. I can't speak for the actual herb but it made for tasty oil. 9/10
I tried this from Tweed, where they call it "Herringbone".
It tested at 21% THC which is pretty good at least for Govie stuff.
Only time I have ever smelled bud and thought "this is like dried plums". Such a unique smell. Earthy tanginess (I don't know what tanginess smells like but the word association is what comes to mind).
I can see why Herringbone was the name given, because it really does look like a fish skeleton. Nice trichrome coverage with the odd orange hair patch. The bud colour is a little on the lighter green side but its nothing too bright.
It tastes like it smells, but the plums take a back seat to a more grapey earth kind of taste. Pretty smooth.
The effects are pretty balanced. My body was relaxed, but my mind was stimulated enough to counteract the potential couch lock. The high is moderate about 2/2.5 hrs, leaning more towards an Indica on the come down, with more sedative properties apparent.
This strain reminds me of that "girl next door" kind of vibe. You know what to expect, but are pleasantly surprised at the same time.
Good for chilling with the wife, playing video games, watching a movie, it's a real easy ride.
Currently growing this. Most interesting of the 20 or so strains I've done over the years, incredible - basically whatever you do to this plant you're going to end up with decent dense very potent nugs of kush. They get tall and unruly, branch and tangle but the internode spacing is so perfect that 2/3rds of the 3'plant (in 8"pots) gets direct light. This makes the canopy get an unparalleled level of light penetration and the yield is massive. In 9 weeks, 2 pounds per square.meter is easily doable in a screen of green.
Outside, they are put out for only 3 months - August, Sept, Oct in Norther hemisphere - half the time that normal plants are, and still bring in serious weight. (I've much less experience with outdoor so I won't say numbers)
The quality of the buds easily compares to.any top level smoke in the sense of how much its.worth - everyone has their own tastes past that. I find it a really strong hit no matter what, really great kush flavour with a hint of the lemon diesel, and only maybe half the amount of burn out as the heaviest you might think of (high CBD, etc) which makes it a good choice for parties or video games. I've found it can excessevate paranoia or anxiety if already worked up about something though. Cerebral obsession lol.
So - great choice for the connoisseur but a growers wet dream XD
I have been searching for the right strain to help with the pain, nausea and fatigue that come along with my Fibromialga and inflammation in my spine. I took one hit and the pain and nausea started to go away and I feel good enough to do the basic things i need to do around the house. Now I am still in a happy state of relaxation. Hands down, my favorite of all I have tried
Great mellow high. Not to paralyzing. Floral aroma.
