Northern Lights reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Northern Lights.
A top shelf quality strain. This heavy indica based bud makes you feel super happy until the after affects make you want to lay on a soft bed and just sink. I’m curious to try this strain at night where indicas work best. I still find this to be a very high quality strain for pain, insomnia, just a great time in general.
This is a very philosophical high. It feels right in the soul and really makes you wonder. If only I had Northern lights to look at while enjoying this high!

Love the K.I.N.D Live Resin Vape Cartridge. Mellow, relaxed feeling- can put you on your a** if you puff too much. I enjoy how fast it works, literally no time to feel the effects.

Just reviewing the growing of this plant; when I smoke this strain in the next few weeks, it will be from my own organic indoor plant.
If you are thinking of growing, this plant is perfect for the noob, including me. It is durable, easy to grow and resistant to all problems. My approach was do no harm.
I germinated two autofem seeds from Crop King Seeds with wet paper towels, just as they suggested. The tap root appeared in about 4 days. Then I moved them to small 6" terra cotta pots. Later to large 15" terra cotta pots.
They weren't fed much: Jobe's organic fertilizer (chicken bones, etc, not salt based) each week, but lightly. They were grown under a $29 LED array from Amazon. For the last two weeks of bloom, I decided to feed them some Fox Bloom fertilizer (worm castings and bat guano) to fatten the lower nugs.
I used terra cotta spikes and wine bottles to keep the soil perfectly moist.
Five months after germination, I'm looking at 5 - 7 ounces as I stagger my harvest. (The lower part of the plant bloomed later than the top). The bud is dank. Lots of crystals all over the leaves of flowers. True to online advice, the white hairs turned orange. When mostly orange, I began the harvest.
Bottom line: easy to grow; looking forward to the experience.
Yield is already 2.5 ounces with at least that much left on the two plants. I project 7 ounces with a per gram cost of $1.16.
Now I'm trying an autofem GG4 indoors and a couple regular seeds outdoors now that spring has arrived.
(I used seed starter pods on a couple photocycle seeds with mixed results. Be sure to cut open that pod to allow roots to grow.)
I would have to say this is probably one of my all time favorite Indica strains! For me it is just such a relaxing full body high that does not put me right to sleep so I can enjoy it. Some of the really hard hitting Indicas just don't give you much time to enjoy them if it's end of the day and you are chilling. This is one I can smoke and get that deep full body high and enjoy it during the night. Most of the time if it's night and I want to chill and watch a movie I have to go for a hybrid that's on the Indica dominant side and save the Indicas for sleepy time! Not this one! It's great for movie time too!
I have been dabbing this one a lot recently. I got Northern Lights wax from the Medical side of The Giving Tree in Denver, and not the recreational side. It's very piney and I get a little bit of citrus with it on the exhale. I plan to keep this on the regular rotation.
My anxiety melts away, and pain is greatly reduced with this strain.
It does make me pretty sleepy though, so I tend to use this more at night or on days when I really just want to sit back and really relax. I tend to get very meditative with this strain.
I smoked this before going in the club. Would recommend this if you like house music, the feel from that kickdrum is just simply fantastic.
Best high I've had! Couch lock is serious with this one though. Smoke at night when you are going to bed because you aren't going to be able to do anything else.
