Meraki Gardens knocked it out of the park with this bud that I picked up at Beaver Bowls. It smelled earthy and piney, but tasted mostly of musk and earth, with just a bit of pine. After smoking a bowl, the effects took a few minutes to kick in, but when they did, they REALLY kicked in. The high is strongly contemplative and stony, with strong visual effects -- cobblestone sidewalks look like intricately patterned mosaics and the clouds take solid forms as animals and faces. There's also a strong, calming, all-over body high. You'll have no trouble falling asleep with this one, though if you want to watch a movie or go on an evening walk, that's also a possibility. Just a perfect nighttime strain. Very, very impressed.

The bud I bought from Beaver Bowls and grown by Herbal Dynamics was perfectly cured: dry enough to burn well, but not crumbly, either. The smell was herbal and earthy with a strong s cent of strawberries. Unfortunately, the strawberry didn’t carry over into the flavor, which was a mildly sweet herbal taste. Don’t get me wrong— the flavor was nice, just not what I was hoping for based on the smell. The high, though. Wow. Soaring euphoria with enough of a light all-over body high to take off the racy edge. Strong, too. Admittedly, I’d taken a week off from smoking prior to trying this, but all it took three or four hits from my taster pipe, and I was at a 9 out of ten about ten minutes later. Great for hikes, doing chores or just chilling out with a good movie. Thus is GREAT weed.

This is my favorite dispensary, and not just in Corvallis. I've not seen one any better. It's set inside a former home, and it still feels very homey and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable -- a few of them are growers -- and they're always ready to help me find exactly the strain I'm looking for. The weed is excellent, and they've usually got a great bulk deal going on. Plus they weigh it out in front of you, which is very much appreciated. Finally, their pre-rolls are excellent. Most dispensaries fill theirs with straight shake. Theirs include a hefty portion of nugs. You're still better off buying flower, but if you're not in the mood to roll, they're a great option, especially if they have a deal going on.

I've smoked two phenos of Moonbow -- 63 and 75. Both were excellent. It'll fill the room with its sweet, slightly skunky aroma, and the taste is similar: sweet and earthy with a bit of pine and citrus. It's also strong. I'm a regular smoker with a pretty high tolerance, and a half-gram joint of Moonbow is plenty. The high comes on quickly, with a spacey contemplative head high and a strong, all-over body high. Relaxing and invigorating at the same time, it's a perfect evening smoke.

This is an exceptional sativa. Earthy and woody on the inhale, the effects crept up on me, peaking about 30 minutes after smoking, but the main high lasted for several hours. It started with a happy, mildly energetic and slightly psychedelic head high, which over time added a body high in my shoulders and arms. Wonderful for walks, light chores or just hanging out. The come down is equally beautiful, giving me a relaxed sense of well being and contentment for hours after the main high had faded.

Since this is apparently a pheno of Blueberry, I suppose it's not a surprise to say that this strain reminds me a lot of ... Blueberry ... and that's a good thing! It smells and tastes much the same, but, like the name says, it's a bit more grapey version of that sweet-and-sour, spicy berry that I love. The effects come on quickly, with a strong, relaxing body high and plenty of spacey, stony, contemplative head effects. Long lasting, too. My dog got me up a couple hours after I went to bed, which was at least three hours after I finished smoking, and I could still feel strong effects. A perfect evening smoke.

What a beautiful strain. This sativa-dominant hybrid is complex in every way, starting with the aroma (strawberry, wood and pine, maybe with some pastry going on as well?) and the taste (strawberry, sour berries, sandalwood and hops). As I usually do with sativa-leaning strains, I tried it out in my one-hitter to gauge whether it would trigger any anxiety. Nothing but good vibes and, holy hell, it was strong. I usually get 3-4 hits from my "one-hitter," but even so, I had a wonderful happy buzz and easy body relaxation that lasted for three hours, easy. Not bad, especially since I'm a daily smoker. Later, I smoked a proper bowl and, again, wow. Though it's sativa dominant, smoking Magellan is like experiencing every good sativa and indica high I've experienced all at once. It's really that good. If your dispensary has this strain, run, don't walk, to get a good supply. This is exceptional weed. Well done OCA!!

I mostly smoke Indica strains, but every so often, I like to take a trip on the Sativa side of things, but I have to take it easy. Too much of a Sativa and I get really anxious. So I smoked this primarily out of a nifty little mini-steamroller from Grav (basically a one-hitter, though I get 3-4 hits from a single pack). The smoke is earthy and sweet, but it's not a strong flavor. And the high is very nice, though not particularly complex. It's uplifting and happy, with a mild body stone that I felt primarily in my legs. A solid Sativa smoke, especially for someone who prefers Indicas.

Technically, I’d guess the bud I smoked was about 70-30 indica to sativa, but it felt like 80% sativa, 100% indica. I’ve never had anything like it. The head high is very uplifting and happy, grounded by a strong indica stone that comes on about 15 minutes after smoking. I was waking my dog late under a full Moon, and the trees looked like they were glowing. I felt alert and stony at the same time. And when it came time to sleep, I was out minutes after my head hit the pillow. The flavor is really nice as well: earthy and sweet. A very pleasant smoke, even though it did catch in the back of my throat a bit, but not enough to make me cough. I’ll be picking this up again. A top three nighttime smoke for me.

The pheno from Resin Ranchers that I bought at High Quality Corvalis was clearly the sativa dominant version of Mount Hood Magic, which they sold as "Magic Durban." As the budtender said to me, "This is all sativa." She didn't lie. What an incredible strain of weed. The smell is really hard to pin down -- sweet, earthy, a bit spicy -- but it's enticing. I took it slow, as I do with most sativas, and broke up about 0.3 grams in my pipe. The taste was just as difficult to define as the smell -- sweet, herbal and earthy? -- but, again, it was very tasty. The THC was near 30%, and I usually find that the effects from such high THC flower come on hard and then recede quickly. Not so with this strain. The euphoria started to rise before I'd even finished the bowl, and peaked at about 30 minutes post-smoke. Thinking was stony, but not at all racy. Stress and worry evaporated, leaving a pleasant, happy energy in my head, with light psychedelic effects. I was pleasantly very high for a good hour, and the come down gradually brought me back to earth for another two or three hours. A light, relaxing body high washed over me in the last hour or so, but I never felt sleepy. Sativas can sometimes make me anxious if I smoke too much, but there was absolutely none with this smoke. This is easily a the top five strain for me, and I'm usually an indica guy. I'll definitely be picking this up again.
