I’m curious why NL is listed as an a pure Indica, when it is supposedly a mix between Afghani (indica) x Thai (which is a sativa).
Today was the first day I smoked the fruits of my labor. Got the NL seeds from my sister who visited Amsterdam and brought back seeds for me. I’m growing scrog in a 8x4 tent, 2x1000w HPS, in 6x65 liter rDWC. My buds are insanely resinous. NL is such an old school classic strain.
First time and loved it. I would use NL as a evening or end of the work day strain for winding down, or going out to have fun in a loungey atmosphere. It makes me feel giggly and relaxed. I would definitely buy more. I loaded up on cbd for pain so I can't say if this strain helps at all with pain, but I do have chronic severe insomnia and this strain doesn't make me sleepy. Chronic thunder is the only strain I've found so far that treats insomnia like a 👑. both are wonderful Indicas but I will be hitting this one the rest of the weekend.
Look, I've had better. But this is still top notch. I was suffering from a pretty bad migraine and about 4 minutes after my first hit, the light sensitivity subsided. Not long after, I felt like a million bucks. The only problem (for some anyway) is it knocks you right out. It really can only be used late at night. Even with a heavy indica tolerance, the myrcene in Northern Lights tends to be ~2.50%. Such a beautiful Terpene profile. Will buy again.

Classic strain. I like to use this one at night. Helps insomnia and stress greatly. Also helps minor aches and pains.
I started smoking late in life (in my 30s) and I've been searching and searching for my favorite strain.. and I have seen the lights. This strain is amazing. I live in a smaller town and we dont get this often. But when i heard it came in at our shop i rushed over as quickly as i could. Its everything i hoped it would be. DEFINETELY RECCOMEND if you someone that just wants to come home from work or a long day and just unwind and relax. Im melted to my chair right now. AMAZING!
I'm new to cannabis, so am experimenting with day vs evening strains. Northern Lights is my favorite bedtime strain yet. Lovely warm tingle in my heart center I felt relaxed, introspective and contemplative, but not over sedated. A bit of a creeper--about half hour in I felt as if I were rising inside an effervescent golden column of fizzy champagne bubbles. Eventually drifted off to sleep. VERY pleasant!
Excellent strain! The high seems more like a imica dominant hybrid imo.
Just got some fresh Northern Lights today, and takes back to highschool when this and White Widow was usually the best we could find. Great for anxiety and stress, and as a plus tastes really good.
