Chemdawg is very strong, STONY pot. Has a pine / clay / earth / chemical spray taste that you can really sense on the exhale. Not uplifting, not knocking you out to sleep... the effect is somewhere in the middle. Very effective at removing pain - but leaves you a little bleary and red eyed. Best time to smoke it is around 6pm and it will fry you for a good 2 to 3 hours, before capping the night off with a stronger indica. Understand how this stuff could have been "legendary" in the 80s and 90s - and how it contributed to modern cannabis genetics, but there are now better and more satisfying strains. 7/10.

Durban Poison is like the "espresso" of cannabis. The raciest sativa I know of, it's a stimulating and clearheaded high with no trace of numbing or "stoning." It wakes you up, cuts through the bleary fog and leaves you clearheaded and bright, gives you energy to go and seize the day. Gives tons of energy and also an intense emotional euphoria... where everything is vibrating and you can't take the smile off your face. Can cause anxiety and paranoia if you are upset, it doesn't make you numb. Recommended for mountain biking, jogging, driving, studying, reading, and partying / socializing with smart people. My sample had purple leaf overtones, a licorice / anise smell and taste. FIRE.

I was at a Denver houseparty that was full of hippies and pot smoke. I saw a guy light a bowl, I was stopped in my tracks after one whiff of what he exhaled. It had a spicy, overwhelmingly strong, DANK smell... that jumped out above all the rest of the stuff people were smoking. He said it was Chocolope and sold me a sack of it. Chocolope is FIRE. The fresh bud really smells and tastes like cannalope, but I don't really smell the chocolate. This strain is what I'd call the heavier side of sativa. Great for chilling (pronunced anti-anxiety effect), leaves you with some energy.. but it is stoning and smoking too much of it will make you sleepy. The smell and the quality of the way this bud burns makes it a great "late afternoon" kinda bud for me. Recommended! 8/10.

PURE FIRE. Golden Goat has a distinct, incredibly rich smell of sugary soda pop syrup in cans that have been heating in the sun. It smells sweet, floral, cotton candy like, and it also has a gentle "pine tree" scent dimension. Taking just a couple hits produces a SLAMMING strong high that leaves your head disoriented and almost makes it hard to talk for a few minutes. The initial rushes mellows out and becomes sustainably euphoric and energizing, but you can feel just the perfect amount of the Romulan (indica) in it also... producing an undertone of a subtle body high and pronounced pain relief. A couple of his and my fibromyalgia pain would be GONE for at least 2 hours. Great weed for yoga - as it gives you energy and takes the edgy of discomfort off of stretching - and daytime use. Has a slightly "golden" hue and is avalanched with trichomes. 10/10.

The smell and taste of this weed is unbelievable - like pure organic raspberries and blackberries that have been crushed in your hands. No mistaking if you got real Hashberry or not - just whiff the crushed bud! It has crazy bag appeal, just flocked with trichomes. The high is the gentler side of the indica sepctrum... very relaxing, calming, strong and chilling... without the stupidity or heavy couchlock of the hardcore kushes and purples. The first party of the high is just heavy enough and satisfying and it gets sleepier in the second part. This is a great indica for smart people who like to relax and unwind without going brain dead or paralyzed. Better for night but not too heavy for afternoon or day use in smaller does.
