Terpinolene

Terpinolene, or alpha-terpinolene, is a common terpene found in small quantities in cannabis plants. It includes hints of citrus, wood, floral, and pine flavors, and strains with high amounts of terpinolene often produce uplifting effects when consumed. Terpinolene is also found in apples, lilac, nutmeg, and cumin.

“This Dutch Treat has tons of terpinolene.”

“I like the refreshing flavor of terpinolene-dominant cultivars.”

Benefits of terpinolene

Cultivars that have moderate amounts of terpinolene usually provide uplifting body effects while also calming the mind, allowing the consumer to focus.

Cultivars high in terpinolene are popular in the medical cannabis community, such as Dutch Treat and Jack Herer. These strains are also known to help manage pain but won’t keep you on the couch.
