Starts in the head, gentle, uplifted then before you know it? You've lost all track of time and space while still being locked into your thoughts. No on the paranoia, but I'm seasoned. This tested 3.34% terpenes, 28% TAC. Fight me, I'm the terp queen!

Smoked this one for my childhood best friend, who is no longer here with us physically but surrounds me everywhere I go in a spiritual way I cannot explain, nor one would believe me about anyways. (Weed need not even apply here, but in this case it does since I'm reviewing a strain). To Bon-Bon--forever young, my dude. Some day, someone should create a 1:1 strain after you, but it won't be me dude. I'm a writer, not a botanist! :-D

Sampled this (alongside Jelly Donut strain) in a 2 grams for 1 deal in pre-roll form. I feel the effects to be Zen-like, but focused without either a Twilight Zone effect nor OMG WAS THAT A COP?! Personally, I have a high tolerance so keep that in mind on this. It was a creeper for me, I would say it took 75% of my first joint to feel an initial surge of Zen-like focus, where words (I am a writer) just came at me. Physically, there was no couch-lock, no jitters, but it also wasn't so-balanced that I felt nothing...The best way to articulate the physical aspects of its effects would be comparable to how one might feel after a hot shower, cup of coffee, and brisk walk: Restored and refreshed, and the comedown is subtle so there is no crash of couch lock.

I bought two grams of pre-rolled joints in this strain--For the first time in ages, I could honestly get a solid whiff and taste of the flavor coming through the herb, and it really *IS* reminiscent of that jelly donut your Gramah used to buy for you after Sunday Mass was finally over. Effects: a wave of warm euphoria and a sense of physical relaxation hit me on the third hit, which shocked the hell out of me considering my high tolerance overall. Mentally, it wasn't an entire brain-stopper the way Hindu Kush, Afghani, or any other "pure", landrace or heavily-indica or Myrcene-terp heavy strain but with a name like Jelly Donut, one should not expect it to produce high, medical-grade quality effects either. It made me slap-happy giggly--I watched a couple of YouTube clips of Speedy Gonzalez and his cousin Slowpoke and had tears coming from my eyes and quite possibly sprung a leak. Perhaps TMI but yes, I feel this strain is more for the recreational user than medicinal. Doesn't last super-long, but mileage will always vary depending on one's body chemistry and their sensitivity and tolerance levels.

Tried a pre-roll by a rather "mids" (perhaps a white-labeled brand) company, one gram. I didn't go into it with a single expectation, so you can imagine my surprise that when I got halfway down the joint, I had this sudden feeling of Zen, mixed with a moderate uplift in mood(pleasant), and a sudden creative burst to go for a walk outside to enjoy the last fall foliage of the season in New England before winter rolls in and I sequester myself inside. It got me writing free-verse rhymes again, (I am working on a poetry and possibly a memoir later on) enabling me to get some words down to make into beautiful epic poetry later on. I give this all-around ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No serious couch-lock on the come-down either--you just gradually float back to earth, much like that feather in the beginning and the end of Forrest Gump. 🌬️🪶

There are a few variations on Afternoon Delight, and it appears Leafly has provided for the two of them separately. Nevertheless, I'm going to state for the record that this review is for Afternoon Delight #4, the cross between GMO&Trophy Wife. I had this in Rythm's brand, where I've used it in 510 distillate vape cartridge as well as 1/8th flower. As one who cannot handle sativa-dominant strains, (I rely almost all on indica-heavy) this was PERFECT for what I sought it out for. It reminds me of what it might be like if you had a small cup of espresso, without the sudden fits and starts of anxiety or paranoia. You're motivated, but not the Energizer Bunny; you're focused, but not "lost and swirly"; you're clear-headed and calm, but not sedated; you're content, but you're not a giggly schoolgirl or boy. The come-up is not intense, unless you're inhaling a couple of huge tokes back-to-back, it's gradual but you'll know once you've peaked because you're concentration will be at its best without any dizziness or headache. The smell was on point (flower) very traditional weed smell, and flavor was Mother Earth. I also want to refer you all to Zack's Cake, specifically the one made by Rythm, for those looking for this same experience but are looking for more of a relaxing, body-feel to it also without knocking you out (While it is also fairly balanced, at least in my assessment of it, you'll find it's better for those that need a break during the day or to unwind at night without excessive sedation, so try that one too!)

While I realize carts tend to wreck tolerance, (I have had this issue in the past) I took an extended break from carts and smoked mids (flower) for quite some time now before picking up a cart here and there. I should have believed the traits of this strain regarding the effects, as it is not at all sedating (my personal experience) but also not uplifting and energetic, either. Now, AllBud states its 85% indica, and so I had a conflict of which site to believe. Well I will not go against this place ever again. When I need an indica-heavy strain, it's because I need something that puts me out, ass over feet. Not only did this not do anything effects wise, the taste was yuck also. All this said, everyone will react differently and it varies I'm sure on grower to grower (effects and taste,) I tried this in a Rythm full spectrum oil cart. Would not buy again, complete waste. I've had other balanced hybrids that at least brought on euphoria in the process. This made me feel nothing whatsoever. Allow me to reiterate: I took time off of carts and didn't even buy decent flower at that for a while, and so my tolerance I had been hovering just barely above average now.

I tried this strain in the Matu-brand disposable vape device (they are under Bloom brands out west, tiny surfboard shaped) as the dispo I go to always has them available for $15.00. Of course, you do tend to get what you pay for, as the device touts itself to be a full half a gram's worth, but I think it could be a defect of thr manufacturing and not necessarily getting stiffed. However, this review is supposed to be on strictly the strain so I will proceed from here. This is absolutely indica-dominant, but the small sativa portion enables me to still hold a conversation without nodding off on the other person! Definitely NOT NOT NOT the strain one would partake in for major social events like big parties, concerts, nor is it going to encourage you to run a marathon either. In carefully crafted out portions in vape or smoke, it's relaxing enough to hold discussions with a couple of good friends or family so long as you don't overdo it. Sex with the right proportion of this strain can be mind-bending my stellar also due to some of the more mellow terpenes within the strain. How would you know if you've overdone it? simply...😴😴😴 Excellent appetite stimulant, as many weed strains tend to be, but coming from GSC parentage this is particularly useful to know and be well-prepared for some snack food! The ONLY two negatives I have on this strain are dry eyes, (again, not exclusive to this strain by itself) and also--I found myself trying to "best" or "one-up" the stoner high and what actually happened was I found myself startled awake with inexplicable paranoia within two hours of calling it a night. Even with heavy indica strains and more of the relaxing terpenes, too MUCH THC can still induce paranoia. This is the first indica strain that's done this to me, however it all goes back to simply overdoing it on the THC. This could also go with any cannabis strain with over-consumption, but I'm just telling my angle. Still, to this day, one of the best indica-leaning strains! I suspect in vapor-form, because the THC levels reach crazy heights, it was easy to overdo it.

It has been since 2021 that I have had this strain before. I exclusively vape cartridges, though due to the cost-factor will be investing in a dry herb device after Christmas. Now, onto the meat and potatoes of the review! Given proper levels of tolerance, (normal to low) this hits at a moderate punch--it isn't a one-hit and quit, but it also shouldn't take more than four properly spaced hits on the vape to begin to feel the initial wave of euphoria and tingling of extremities in a good way! Most growers cultivate this at 60/40, with 60 being the indica dominance which is on-point for the dispo where I picked this strain up. (You'd be shocked how many dispos, some even corporate chain cannabis facilities, tweak the given "formula" to to speak and it gets reclassified at best; at worst, opposite effects than intended can happen...but I am digressing here.) The indica is felt by way of tingling extremities, a feeling of weightlessness overall (though not paralyzing by any means unless you're ripping two bongs back to back maybe) and aches, pains, spasms completely melt away, for me anyways, ten minutes in. It's just OK for sleep--I'll get to the each next. The sativa aspect can send creativity through the roof, which is amazing if you're an artist, writer, creator of any sort! It's not so energizing however where you could get a long run in--but cerebrally, it gets your mind soaring (in good ways!!!) and because of the terpene profile, I can see why this is called "Wedding Cake"! I'm perimenopausal so my sex drive is everywhere, but this strain makes me want to jump my husband's bones the moment I see him. It made me aroused, but that might just be me. Only giving this an 8/10 because it's not super-heavy to assist with insomnia (which many indica lovers flock towards like myself) and because the high doesn't last long. Delicious! Arousing! Utter relaxation, no paranoia.
