One of the best strains I have encountered in a long time. Buds are dense, dark and resinous. The aroma is very true to the name of the strain; definitely vanilla, definitely kush (earthy/pungent). Out of the vaporizer it has a sweetness like caramel. I also smoked a joint, and got more of the vanilla taste out of it. All in all, a very appealing strain in terms of taste and smell. I find it to be immediately relaxing when smoked. After 5-10 minutes, euphoria and sleepiness kick in. The effects are powerful and long-lasting. As with many Afghani strains, I find the need to take this one in moderation. It's one of those indicas that is so heavy it can be overwhelming. I definitely recommend this for sleep, anxiety (just be careful you don't go overboard), and muscle pain.

LSD is a strain that is commonly stocked at my dispensary. This strain is an absolute go-to for me for a number of reasons. Its extreme potency, heavy euphoria and powerful uplifting effects make it a great tool for me in managing depression and muscle soreness/tenderness. The flavor and aroma is overtly citrus, with sweet and piney undertones. The high is generally long-lasting and causes me to be a bit dizzy and unbalanced. This one is 60/40 leaning towards Indica according to my dispensary, and despite its vast array of positive effects, I wouldn't recommend it to any beginners, or folks with low tolerance. Treat it with the respect that any heavy hybrid deserves, and it will treat you.

Now one of my favorite sativas, the batch of Durban I have on hand now is a lovely smoke. The earthy-sweet taste hints towards cherry soda, making it one of my favorite strains to roll into joints. A racy daytime strain, I found it lent fairly minimal detriment to my ability to focus. I'm prone to anxiety and have never experienced any paranoia or panic with this strain. It strikes a wonderful balance between relaxed and uplifted that can work wonders treating anxiety and muscle pain without stopping the user from being functional. All this being said, if you are prone to anxiety when stoned, take it slow with this one. It is still a racy sativa and just because it works well for me doesn't mean it will work well for everyone. I gave this strain a 5/5 because it treats two of my symptoms and has a great flavor. If you can find some, treat yourself to this classic.

GG4 is an A-list strain. An absolute must-try, this strain does a beautiful job of relaxing and relieving stress with the fun, heady effects that hybrids tend towards. This is definitely a couchlocking strain, but it doesn't make me feel sleepy at all so it's nice for winding down with (vidyas, netflix, ect.,), or for enjoying in a group. The chemical taste is evident, and it's hard to describe other than that it hits the back of your throat when you inhale. If you get the chance to grab some of this, do it. You deserve it. :)

I grabbed this strain because I wanted to try out some more sativa dominant hybrids. I enjoy this strain a lot for it's euphoric effects. As good hybrids tend to do, it brought me to a really trippy headspace that's fun in groups. The downside I found with this one is that it's a little on the sedating side, which becomes noticeable when the euphoria tapers off. I also found the flavor to be on the earthy side, which leads me to believe that I may have gotten a more ICE leaning phenotype. I would like to get a different batch and see if my experience is any different.

I found MW perfect for days when you need a mood boost or anxiety relief, but don't need to be too focused. This is my absolute favorite strain for a lazy day, and a perfect choice for joints that aren't too harsh and have a smooth, sweet taste. Out of the vaporizer, it has a tree-fruit taste that invokes guava and mango tones. It gives me what I've dubbed "the chocolope feeling," which, in my own stony words, is "when you feel like everything is just gonna be alright." Great for a walk outside, or after a stressful shift at work. Whether you are prone to being anxious while high and are trying to find a sativa that won't make you feel racy, or just looking for a strain to kick back with and ease your depression or anxiety without knocking you out, Maui Waui is worth trying.

Just signed up with this place because, as a mainland dweller, I visit Victoria frequently and I like the idea of having a source there. The staff are super welcoming! The woman who helped set me up in the system and served me was friendly and genuine, and knew a lot about the properties of all the strains. The room is super clean and nice. All of the flowers are displayed in lidded shot-glasses, and the staff totally encourage smell-tests while they share their experiences with the particular strain. All of the show-buds I sniffed were absolutely loaded with trichomes, and the Sour Diesel I ended up choosing was of the same quality. Overall, I had a great experience here and I would recommend this place to everybody. I have been in dispensaries that stock a greater number of strains, but Buds and Leaves carries at least one true classic strain in each category. OG Kush, White Widow, Sour Diesel and Jack Herer are all on the menu. It's the kind of catalog that gives me the feeling that these folks are really passionate about their flowers, and that's the main reason they get five stars from me!

Holy balls! What a strain! 6/5 stars at least! It has an odd, somewhat chemical, sweet aroma and the buds are very sticky. I loaded this into my Solo and hooked it up to a small bong. The taste was far less jarring than the smell, very earthy with some diesel notes. The high was pretty straightforward in the initial stages. I found it very relaxing, and that it greatly improved my experience of eating the cheap take out I had picked up in anticipation of not being able to cook while high. This strain is a creeper, though, and after a while I found myself very euphoric and uplifted. I got the urge to get a cup of tea and plunk on my banjo. I feel that this strain's high is best described as one that can be enjoyed in very many ways. I felt the strong body effects, relaxation and anxiety relief of an indica, and the mood elevation and creativity of a sativa. This is the kind of strain that is AMAZING for depression, social anxiety, and social recreational use.

I bought this strain because it was recommended to me for daytime use. Based on that testimony, I was expecting a straightforward sativa with uplifting and creative effects. What I found was that a full bowl of ISS actually had a heck of a kick. Straight from the vaporizer it was a strong, heady buzz with long-lasting and powerful cerebral effects. When I attached the vaporizer to a bong I found that I got a little too high, experiencing some dizzyness and anxiety. I would not recommend this strain for first time users. I am prone to anxiety, and although I have no problem with this strain, I see the potential for it to be uncomfortable for someone who is not confident in their ability to handle anxiety. I would absolutely recommend this strain for daytime use of experienced of adventurous users who want something energizing, uplifting and fun.

Space Dawg is great for chilling out and listening to music or playing video games. A potent indica with a piney, fruity aroma, Space Dawg's powerful body high melted my anxiety and depression. Not my go-to for sleep (Yoda OG wins out in that category), I prefer the Dawg for its euphoric and relaxing effects. Definitely a unique strain with diverse range of ancestors, you should definitely try this one before you knock it.
