Dispensary

(Courtesy of Marchandash)

Dispensaries are licensees in the cannabis industry who dispense products to patients and customers. Some states permit dispensaries to deliver cannabis products directly to customers at their homes in addition to dispensing them at a store.

“Dispensaries are the face of the cannabis industry and are generally the first point of contact for people who are new to using cannabis products.”

What is a dispensary?

Within the framework of a legal and regulated cannabis industry, a license holder that dispenses products to patients and customers are called “dispensaries.” Now that cannabis can be legal and regulated, just like other businesses, owners want to conduct business out of a physical location.

While some dispensaries are allowed to also deliver cannabis directly to customer’s homes under state law, not all states permit delivery and regulations around delivery and dispensing cannabis are different in all states.
